Definitely a good find. Quaint 9 table restaurant with long bar. Food was great, service was great. I got a hamburger with fries. One son had kids chicken nuggets with applesauce the other had the Louisiana chicken sandwich.

I’m not sure what’s going on with the bartender mentioned in several recent low-rating reviews, but I feel compelled to share my experience as well.

My partner and I came in on Saturday, December 20th, specifically looking for a place where we could sit at the bar, watch some games, and enjoy a few beers. The bar area itself is beautifully decorated—very much my vibe—and it immediately raised my expectations. At first, everything was going great, and I genuinely thought we had found a new favorite spot.

I ordered the bacon cheeseburger with a side, and my partner had the catfish plate with two sides. The portions were generous, and we each had a beer while eating. Also while eating, we ordered a shot each, which was also fine. It was then that I decided to order a Bahama Mama, however, we were informed that there was a drinking limit and that we were being cut off. All this happened in the span of my meal.

While the drink itself was made well, the decision to cut me off was surprising and disappointing. We were calm, respectful patrons, minding our own business, and not causing any disturbance. The sudden cutoff completely changed the tone of the experience and left a sour impression.

Although the bartender wasn’t rude, the interaction felt very transactional. There was little to no engagement or effort to enhance the experience, which is a big part of what people expect when sitting at a bar. When I asked questions about the establishment, the responses were brief and uninviting. It felt like she technically did her job, but nothing more.

Unfortunately, this lack of interaction diminished what could have been an enjoyable bar experience. You won’t get the full, welcoming bar atmosphere here that many other places offer, which is disappointing given how beautiful the bar area is. It feels like a missed opportunity, as the ambiance deserves a much better experience to match. All that beautiful decor is a waste if you can’t enjoy it.

What an unexpected surprise. My husband and I love stopping in to “hole in the walls”. The atmosphere was great, people were kind and food was fabulous. They have a full bar and a menu that makes you want to visit again, I didn’t even get to the desserts. We had the fried green tomatoes that came with a chipotle ranch and we each had wings. Everyone around us kept saying that their food was great!!
If you are driving along some back roads that lead you to Temple GA, look for Gypsy Rabbit, you won’t be disappointed!! All of the employees seemed super nice and glad to be there. We had Jennie as our server and will be back to try the other items on the menu.

We moved to Temple in 2023. One of our favorite finds was Gypsy Rabbit. We took our friends from Chattanooga there and referred others also. The atmosphere was fun, friendly, and vibrant. The bar was great! My husband and I would have a beer or cocktail and were never disappointed with our drinks. I’m not sure what happened, but the feel of the place has totally changed! Our server, Chastity is no longer there, no happy greeting when you walk in, no warm fuzzy feeling, and just not the same place we liked so much. Maybe the owners should be more visible and work on bringing back that lost atmosphere!

Did not expect all the pretty decor, from the outside of the building. Was passing through from Columbus to NWGA and decided to stop in. Food is very affordable, which is so refreshing! Will stop again in future if given chance.

Went for lunch on a Monday. It wasn’t too busy maybe a third of the tables seated. The prices were unbelievably low! Sandwich for $7-$8 and Burgers $8-$10 with sides from $1.50-$3 sadly after an hour of being open they were out of the side I wanted to try. I had the Nebraska which was a traditional Rueben sandwich. Tasted good but would have liked the bread a little more toasted and a little more hot. It seemed like it may have been sitting for a while before I received it. My friend had a Cuban sandwich with sweet potato fries. She said the fries were warm not hot and they could have been cooked a little longer and crispy. They may have been crisp as soon as they were done but may have sat for a while before we got it. Service was good but slow. I had a side salad and it was nearly 10-15 min before I got it. It was fresh and tasted good. It was probably another 10 minutes to get our sandwiches. That means my friend waited almost 30 min for her food. The bar was overwhelmed with so many bottles of liquor! I don’t know how bartenders keep up with all that but it seems excessive! Overall a decent lunch. Not sure if I would try again.

Food outstanding for price. Service just no. Server didn’t acknowledge anything we said just stared at us weirdly even with just asking to swap one cheese for another… server also did not once check up on us. We had to get up and find her to ask for condiments. Server cut alcohol off after 1 mixed drink and 1 shot. My wife a certified bartender was honestly confused and when she said it was at her discretion. Truly would have went back until that point… also was there with a prior patron who said they had served much more previously
This establishment is a BAR! You can not convince me they cut people off after 1 drink and 1 shot….

This is great place to stop by if you’re meeting up with friends for a drink and some food. The bar is awesome. The whole aesthetic of this place is a dream. I loved it! My server was friendly and attentive.

The food was good! Great portions at fair prices!

I ordered wings- loved the flavor and the crispness BUT they super oily- I understand there will be grease cause they’re fried DUH!! But this was like, oil dripping down your face with a single bite. I still ate them through, and would definitely order them again. I also had a sandwich- their take on a Monte Cristo. The flavors were well thought out and it could have easily been one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had BUT it was poorly executed. Warm ham and melted cheese could have put it over the top! The sweet potato fries were some of the best I’ve ever had. Perfectly seasoned and just delicious!

I’d recommend this place for sure and will be back if my travels ever bring me back!

My husband and I live locally and kept driving by. We never go to the bar . We stopped in to eat I got a water, a mixed drink and two shooters to try throughout the meal since they were $4. I was going to order another after eating but the bar tender straight up cut me off. We were minding our business, not bothering anyone and I felt fine.
It really caught me off guard. I’ve
Never been treated that way before. We won’t be back. I never drink but to try to get out and try some new things and be treated poorly really ruined my taste in this place.
Also the Mac and cheese bites were still frozen in the middle. Hate to be petty wasn’t going to mention it but since I’m on a three drink cut off . What the heck.
