Great gelato. Variety of flavors. This location more convenient than fighting traffic for the downtown Kona location. Service was quick and friendly. At 1PM I was the only customer there. Easy parking. Both indoor and outdoor seating.

Super unique flavor…tom kha! Like the soup, but in gelato form! I paired it with their Mauka Trail. I mean who doesn’t love chocolate, coffee and Mac nuts!
The female employee was so sweet and the gelato was a treat also!

Their flavors are amazing and unique! They also have coffee and some baked goodies. The atmosphere is inviting and calm. There’s activities for kids and adults to enjoy as well, like a color table, corn hole, giant connect 4, and a pirate ship with children’s books. It’s a great place to study or bring the whole family. They also have pints to take home.

When we visit the Big Island of Hawaii one of the treats we look forward to is to stop at least once (last trip was twice) at Gypsea Gelato. Their shop along Mamalahoa Hwy is a perfect stop after snorkeling in Kealakekua or Honolulu Bay (or visiting the Place of Refuge).
They have a great selection of Gelato flavors, freshly made. They also have some hand made pastries at this location. There’s a decent sized dining room if it’s raining, but we enjoy eating our Gelato out back while viewing the beautiful flowers.
We’ve also visited their other location in the Coconut Grove Marketplace in Kailua-Kona town. A great, refreshing treat that we look forward to each trip to Hawaii.

Excellent Gelato – we sampled several – and those plus what we got, the advertised flavors were right there! Didn’t need to go searching for the ginger, or the lemon grass or the orange.
They have numerous serving sizes to fit whatever your appetite is – we just wanted a little snack to get us to dinner and the ‘mini sugar cone’ was perfect!

We stopped by to check out a place that had really good reviews and we were not disappointed! Mo helped us by giving us samples and telling us about different flavors and we found the perfect combination for us. Dragon fruit banana sorbet was amazing and it was the first ever ice cream for our 6 month old baby! Amazing place – great customer service and 5 stars for sure!

Quaint little gelato joint with great tasting flavors at great prices. There are not too many flavors however. Highly recommend.

Sooooo yummy! And such a fun place for the kiddos too. They have some games and areas for kids to play. Gelato is amazing. We had a big group, so we were able to try many flavors. I don’t know how to choose a favorite since they were all very good—toasted coconut is definitely high on the list and a must try.
