I had such an amazing experience at The Gyoza Bar. From the moment we walked in, the customer service was incredible — warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. The staff made us feel taken care of without being overbearing.
The scenery and atmosphere are just as impressive. It’s modern, cozy, and has the perfect vibe for a cute night out or a relaxed dinner.
And the food? Absolutely delicious. The gyoza were perfectly crisp and flavorful, and everything came out fresh and beautifully presented.
Great service, beautiful setting, and amazing food — I’ll definitely be back!

Gyoza Bar has quickly become our favorite restaurant since moving to Kansas. While the setting feels relaxed, the menu is truly special and fine-crafted, and every visit feels like a fun culinary experience, as we always pick something new off of the menu to try. The owner is very creative. Service is always great. We find ourselves here random times during the week, but today we did something special to try out their omakase. Our server today was Shinju, who was kind and thoughtful. The omakase had such a fun variety. We really enjoyed ourselves and left feeling satisfied.

Walk into this slice of Japan if you’re a fan of an authentic sushi experience. We sat at the bar and started with a salmon carpaccio (I prefer their hamachi carpaccio but both are good). I paired it with Shikuwasa soda and my wife, a cherry blossom cocktail. We opted for a nigiri lunch platter, and Jack expressed we try their current market fish. —kanburi and houbou. The kanburi was a fattier version of yellowtail which was great, and the houbou was a clean, lean fish with a sweet undertone. (Shown on the blue plate photo.) The sushi rice is made perfect to my tasting and the house made soy sauce was a delectable combination, alongside freshly ground wasabi.
The soy sauce is so good, I purchased a bottle to bring home to eat when I have sushi made at home.
Although pricey— it was worth it. You can spend $20 and be just as full as their menu has quite the variety.
Our waitress, Karina was very helpful and kind too.

We had the best evening last night. A belated birthday outing with a dear friend, and a change of direction at the last moment led us into Gyoza. We had the option to sit at a table or the bar. Fortunately for us we selected the bar seating where the charming Lora greeted us. (Name is possibly spelled incorrectly. Sorry!) She shared some of her preferred cocktails with us, selling us quickly on the Gyoza Old Fashion. She had us on smoked cherry wood. She prepared the drinks in front of us, explaining the story behind the imported ice, its unique addition to the drink including the stamping of the ice. We’ll be returning for this cocktail often. Lora guided us through the vast menu selections sharing her immense knowledge in the ingredients, preparation, and cooking techniques as well as apparatuses used in the production of many of the menu items. Lora’s enthusiasm for the presentations and cuisine really added to our experience. We of course started with an order of Gyoza, and shared the garlic rice with shrimp, and our favorite, the creamy chicken curry. Excellent suggestions. She surprised me, us with a birthday dessert of a chocolate filled dumpling with a whipped cream touched with a hint of mint. One of the best nights out I’ve had in quite some time. Can’t wait to share the experience with friends, and my beau. So many options waiting to be sampled. Thank you Lora, and the team at Gyoza for making our girls night such a pleasure.

The gyoza was delicious and so was the eel and tamago hand roll. The inside was nicely-decorated and the waiter was friendly since they were willing to give out suggestions about what to order. The chicken udon was soothing and pretty good and the portions were large. Overall, I would come back to try more things on the menu.

Gyoza Bar is a vibe. Great modern Japanese spot with a fun robata/izakaya feel and really solid food. The spicy sauce with karaage was perfectly crispy, the crispy pork cutlet was juicy, and the Japanese wagyu curry rice hit the spot. Bonus points for the chocolate gyoza (so good) and a beautiful matcha strawberry lemonade drink. Will be back.

A friend and I came here for lunch not too long ago. We meant to go to Yokohama Ramen, but we ended up here. It was a really good experience. My friend has food allergies. The waitress talked with them. The waitress was very accommodating. They have good friend octopus and scallops. They also have good udon. My friend remarked many times on how wonderful the food was. We really enjoyed it. If you like new places, this is a fun one to try.

Went for the tuna cutting show the other day! By far the best sushi I’ve had in Kansas! The service and attention to detail was amazing! The soy sauce was amazing like I wanted to drink it! Found out they make it themselves and they gave us a bottle to take home! When I die I hope they put a bottle in my casket just in case there is sushi in heaven!

1st time to this restaurant and all I can say is WOW! We ordered the curry gyoza, Japanese curry, and some sushi since I wanted to try everything. Everything was phenomenal and the service was perfect. Will definitely be back! I think our server’s name was Nick and not only did he give excellent suggestions, he was just the best.

Gyoza Bar is amazing! It’s my favorite new restaurant in the Wichita area. The atmosphere is incredible, with so much attention to detail apparent in every aspect! From the moment you’re greeted at the door, you’re immersed in modern Japanese style. The decor, the aromas, the service, and the flavors, all come together to create an experience that will quickly make you forget you’re in Kansas. With reasonable prices, ample portions, and a wide variety on the menu, it’s an all around great place for any occasion, from a casual lunch to a Saturday night date. With patio seating, and Japanese beer on tap it’s also a great spot to take a little break on any nice day or evening.
