Nice place. I saw they had $7 Cali Burritos and said I have to get one.
The tortilla was really good. The filling was interesting. I got one spicy and one mild. It was good.
I got the kids some hard shells ground beef tacos. Price is cool at 2.50. But when I got them I understood why. Probably an ounce of gray looking ground beef. No thanks.
Stick to the chicken burritos and you’ll be happy.
I’ll come back and try other items.

We were truly impressed with the Des Plaines grand opening of the local Mexican chain. There were numerous employees on hand for the event, almost too many and too helpful. A mariachi band played while the line grew and eventually wrapped around the building. It was extremely well managed.
The grand opening offered a limited menu. She liked her mild steak burrito, and my spicy brisket burrito was just about perfect. They were both huge. For supper, I went back for their brisket bowl, and it was just as good.
I was in the mood for old-fashioned crispy beef tacos the other day and returned to try those. They were better than I expected. Thumbs up!

This Tex Mex restaurant seems to have opened just recently, as everything inside and outside looks new and the staff was highly motivated. I ate some nachos and a burrito, both vegetarian. And both tasted really good in my opinion! And the burrito was a large portion. I know this chain from Australia, but unfortunately I don’t have such positive memories from there.

2nd try here and remembered why I didn’t come back after they opened. The food was tiny with hardly any meat or cheese in it which gave it no flavor at all, well just add sauce. Nope the extra sauce cup was 3/4 empty which i could almost get a drizzle out of. The churo was hard and basically a warm stale mess. Even my kid didnt like it at all and he loves mexican food.
Just like the first time I came a waste of 30 bucks. Only highlight was the fries. Will not recommend this place.

We were in the neighborhood and saw this place, never heard of Guzman y Gomez before. Four weeks later we are back to give it a try. Our party of 4 had a steak taco, a steak quesadilla, a pulled brisket enchilada burrito, a steak burrito, and a carnitas burrito. The enchilada burrito was 75% white rice and beans – a bit of a disappointment. Next time I will definitely try the brown rice. The tacos are available in hard or soft corn tortillas or soft flour tortillas. The enchilada is only available in the flour tortillas and came with a tamitillo sauce; I prefer the red sauced enchiladas. The burrito bowl was excellent. This is a large quantity of food, next time I will go with a couple of tacos or Taco & quesadilla. I understand they have beer and margaritas but none of us are drinkers, but it looked good. The restaurant looks brand new and a bit corporate with all the plastic plants.

Disappointing.
Food had really good flavor, very easy to use app.
Portion for breakfast bowl was extremely small. About the size of two eggs and maybe one sausage link. My coffee also had a large amount of grounds in it.

Basically a Chipotle alternative.
The chicken was cooked much better as in it was fresh off the grill.
Other then that pretty basic food.

All around 10/10 from the friendly staff, delicious food with good portions and the ambiance. A nice gem that was recommended while I was getting my nails done up the street. I heard they are new and will be expanding, I’m excited for them!

I wanted to enjoy this place, but was disappointed. I ordered a burrito with brisket and I received a burrito with hardly any meat. A normal protein ratio is pretty important to me so I can get a filling nutritious meal. However there was probably 4 or 5 pieces of brisket in the burrito while the rest was filled with an immense amount of rice and beans. Chipotle is a better balanced fast American Mexican option. Food flavor wasn’t outstanding either pretty subpar.

I dined in once and used the drive thru once. The staff was very friendly and the dining room is clean. The guacamole and tortilla chips were fresh. The tacos were small, cheese was flavorless, and the beef lacked seasoning. If you are trying to estimate what lunch will cost via the drive thru, bring your reading glasses and a calculator since there are asterisks and add-on fees for several categories of protein and several form factors of menu items. If it sounds confusing, trust me it is. I wish them the best because the concept looks cool and I might give it another try for breakfast, but there are just too many better options for better, more flavorful, and affordable Mexican food.
