Food was hot and very good. The chicken strips were lightly breaded. Nice crinkle fries,Texas toast not too garlic. Slaw is a little watery, overall fairly good value, though I didn’t care much for the dipping sauce.

Everything tastes just like I remember from when I worked at Guthries of Athens back in the early 90s. That is to say, it’s all still pretty salty and fried, so coming here is going to have to be an occasional thing, but it’s SO good!
Guthrie’s is the OG of all the chicken finger chains and I’ll happily make the little road trip out here once every few months.
And honestly, the music they play in the restaurant is banging …

This location just opened today in Monroe, North Carolina. I have been going to Guthrie’s for over 20 years, so I’m glad we now have one close to me. This is a chicken fingers only type place, if you are looking for salads go on down the street. The fingers are a nice size, meaty and have a nice crispyness to them. The fries are always hot, and the special sauce goes good with the fingers and fries. The main difference between the snack and meal is you get an extra finger, toast and a side of coleslaw with the meal. They also have amazing sweet tea.

I don’t even like to do food reviews for places, cause I don’t like to waste my time, but y’all have really pissed me off tonight. For starters for this Expensive meal there’s no reason why my toast nor my sauce did not come with my plate for y’all to sit there and triple bag for “safety precautions” and not put the correct stuff inside orders. Then for y’all to sit there and have ME tell you that I had an extra lemonade and had a problem giving it to me knowing I had two combos. But the plus about this restaurant is that the chicken is good but I do wish I had my sauce with it. Y’all just opened it is no excuse tbr

There’s a reason they’ve been around 60 years! First time here and very impressed. The tenders are lightly battered. The Guthrie’s sauce goes great with the tenders. Friendly, quick, service. Will be back!

I didnt know this place only sold chicken tenders, that’s actually disappointing because we can get that from any restaurant on 74. I ordered 3 tenders, fries, and a tea and I believe it was like $10. The tenders taste very similar to the ones at Slim Chickens. The fries are just basic crinkle cut fries, only difference compared to competitors is they are softer and not fried hard. The sauce is your typical tender sauce-ketchup, mayo, seasoning blend. The tea was super sweet that you couldn’t taste the tea leafs anymore. Overall, I wasn’t impressed but its just small little tenders so it’s really nothing else they can do to attract customers. I honestly don’t think they will survive this small town because these folks like to stick to what’s been around for years. Its more older age people in the area and they normally don’t flock to chicken tender spots. That Zaxbys has closed and opened about 3 times over the years.

Chicken was very moist, crispy and well seasoned. Fries were well cooked. I wasn’t a fan of the sauce, however.

I had the chance to try the food before they opened and it did not disappoint. I wasn’t able to leave a review at the time and told the manager I would do it as soon as I could. The chicken was fresh and fried perfectly! The Manager and staff were so nice. I had the 4 piece with Slaw, Fries, Bread and the sauce. We look forward to eating there in the future.

Don’t know where to start I walked in there and the whole time the people at the register gave me a dirty look, and the girl seemed like she didn’t even wanna work there and the employees there were so rude for no reason. The fries were not even seasoned. It was so bad. Don’t waste your money here not worth it.
