This place has the looks of a great food spot but the actual food doesnt live up to that expectation.
We went in 1/30/26 at 5pm, we ordered the carne en su jugo and the camarones a la cucharacha as well as a michelada.
The carne en su jugo was decently flavored but the beans to meat ratio was off. Barely enough beans.
The camarones a la cucaracha were a bad experience, the cook is supposed to be crispy and marinade is supposed to be spicy, neither of which were true. Also serving the shrimp with the head on and not deveined would have been nice to know before hand. The michelada was heavy on the juice and not so much the beer, not my preference but a decent michelada.
The waitress only came to our table three times, to take our order, to drop off the food and to charge us. Also when she dropped off the food she didnt give us utensils, so i had to ask for them, its not a big deal, but when things start turning to a bad experience those small details start to matter a bit more.
In the end the waitress apologized for not checking up on us throughout our stay, she said the other waitress had gone on break and she was swamped with all the tables. I mentioned to her the camarones were not very good and the marinade was sweet almost like a terayaki flavor when it was supposed to be spicy and lemony. She agreed and told me the cook that usually makes it had gone on break as well so the back up cook that was working didnt make them properly.
I left that place disappointed I had just spent $65 for minimal customer service and sub-par food.
This place may be worth another try in the future, maybe their mariscos are the thing to get, maybe we just went in at the wrong time, maybe their still ironing out the details. Hopefully next time we try it, everybody is not on break.

As someone who was born and raised in Guadalajara, this is the only place where I can actually taste what a “torta ahogada” and “carne en su jugo” should taste like

We have also tried:

-Queso fundido con chorizo
-Tostada de ceviche
-Tacos de carnitas
-Café de olla

And everything is bomb!

Thank you guys!

My husband and I attended the grand opening/ribbon cutting this past Saturday. While the initial wait was substantial—a predictable hurdle for any highly anticipated new establishment—it was, without a doubt, incredibly worthwhile. I ordered the Camarones en Mantequilla and a Michelada with mineral water. The dish was a perfect balance of buttery richness and savoriness. The michelada had such an amazing flavor! My husband ordered the Aguachiles Verdes, which had an amazing flavor profile! We left excited for this new venture for this family owned restaurant and certain that their operations will only refine with time!

First-time visit and absolutely worth it! The food was authentic, flavorful, and consistently delicious every dish we ordered hit, Portions were very generous.

The michelada alone is worth the stop! perfectly balanced and refreshing. Friendly service, great atmosphere, and an experience that makes this easy to recommend. If it’s your first time here, don’t hesitate this place definitely delivers!

I went to Gusto’s on a whim yesterday with my sister and our kids, and it was such a wonderful experience. The atmosphere is very family-friendly, and the staff truly went out of their way to make us feel welcome and comfortable from the moment we arrived.

We ordered three plates to share, and everything was delicious. The torta was excellent, and the chicken quesadilla and carne asada were generously portioned and packed with flavor. My sister ordered a coffee, which she loved, and the guacamole was thick, fresh, and very well made.

What made the visit extra special was getting to share hot chocolate and sweet bread (Rosca de Reyes) with the restaurant’s family while celebrating Three Kings Day, we even found the baby in the bread! It was such a sweet, memorable moment, and it really showed how kind, welcoming, and proud the family is of their restaurant.

Gusto’s is a place with great food and genuine hospitality. We felt at home and will absolutely be coming back. Highly recommend for families or anyone looking for a warm, authentic dining experience.

This is an awesome family owned restaurant! The food is delicious and the service is very friendly. Their specialties are authentic Mexican seafood dishes, and the ceviche is the very best I’ve ever had! The restaurant is new, and I absolutely recommend everyone tries out to see for yourselves.

Ordered to go. Took 30 minutes
Pollo asado was so salty I couldn’t eat it.
Everything was cold when I got it.
The salsa was like salted water
And NO CRUNCHY TACOS!
No plates just single items
No thank you. I’ll stick with El Azteca Mexican Restaurant.
This is Such a cute place. The people are nice, but inexperienced.
I feel with time, it will get better. I’ll try again in the summer

We stopped at this restaurant because it looks new and the exterior design is very attractive. From the outside, it gives the impression of a place that might serve good food. Unfortunately, once inside, the experience went downhill quickly.

The interior feels like an old Subway that has been patched up with colors, lights, and marketing to change the vibe, rather than a thoughtfully designed restaurant. It became clear that the decoration especially the outdoor setup is being used to distract from the poor food quality.

The service was slow and poorly timed. The chips were clearly not homemade. The food itself was terrible: the soup noodles tasted like they came straight from a cheap Chinese dry noodle pack, the burrito had absolutely no flavor, and the horchata was so diluted it felt like it was watered down to maximize profit.

Overall, this is very cheap, low-quality food hidden behind colorful decor and lighting to attract customers. There is zero authenticity here. For half the price, you can eat much better at a real Mexican restaurant.

Do yourself a “flavor” and save your money don’t go there.

Very nice and clean, friendly service.
One of the tastier quesabirria tacos I’ve had.
Only negative was passing 6$ for the consome, not that it wasn’t good, but that makes the total taco pricey. As well, the bowl was very big for 3 tacos.
Cut the price in half, and serve the consome in the salsa ramekin, half the size.
Otherwise, will definitely go back to try the rest of the menu.

My husband and I attended the opening weekend and oh my! The wait was a little long which was expected for a restaurant that had such an anticipated opening, but it was sooo worth it. I had the quesabirrias and the consomé was to die for, I loved that it had garbanzo beans in it. my husband had the aguachile and he loved it as well! We can’t wait to be back and enjoy more of their delicious food. Service was also great, Sandra was super friendly. Definitely recommend!
