⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Review — Gusta Pizza, Florence

If you’re looking for one of the best pizza experiences in Florence, Gusta Pizza is the place. We shared a few pizzas with friends and each one was spot-on — from the dough to the toppings.

The crust had that perfect Neapolitan style: puffy edges, slightly charred for flavor, soft inside, and super tasty. The pizza with mushrooms, ham and mozzarella was incredibly satisfying — melty cheese, fresh basil, and just the right amount of sauce. And the truffle & arugula pizza? A real star! Rich, fragrant, and beautifully balanced by the fresh greens and creamy toppings on top.

Of course, pairing everything with a refreshing Aperol Spritz only made the evening better — Italian vibes at their finest! ✨

The atmosphere was lively, friendly and casual — ideal for a fun dinner in the heart of Firenze. Service was quick despite how busy it gets (a good sign that everyone loves the place!).

Must-do:
Order one pizza each — you won’t want to share once you take the first bite

We loved it, we’d go back anytime!
A true Florence classic ❤️

A good location near to Palazzo Pitti and near the neighborhood of Oltrarno. The food here was great, possibly the best pizza I’ve had in Florence! I really enjoyed the pesto pizza, the compound taste of the pesto with the burrata cheese was absolutely delicious.

Just a quick note, this place is extremely busy. Dining in the building and outside fills up quickly, so you can either get seating across the street outside, or if you’d rather enjoy being closer to the main eatery itself, you will have to wait for a couple of minutes to find seating.

Wow! Do not miss Mama Angela’s ragu. I caught a delicious aroma from the piazza. Canceled my reservation elsewhere and ate here. That was a terrific decision. I had the fresh Tuscan spaghetti pasta with Angela’s ragu with Porcini mushrooms. The best pasta dish I have ever had! Secondi was the boneless ribeye in green Peppercorn sauce. Need I say more? The bottle of Nipizzano Reserva was a perfect match. They treated me to a tipple on Limoncello on my way out. Eat here if you can.

This is the best pizza place I’ve ever eaten at. Words can’t describe how delicious the food is
everything from the flavors to the atmosphere to the staff is phenomenal.

I’ve visited many countries in my life, and I eat pizza at least once or twice a week, always trying new places. Since arriving in Italy for our vacation, I’ve been eating pizza twice a day for two weeks, and this place wins by far. Respectfully, no pizza place in Italy or anywhere else in the world comes close.

Million thanks to the staff for being so friendly, cheerful, and helpful. We loved our experience.

I’d also recommend ordering the pesto pizza it will blow your taste buds away and the burrata pizza (add FUNGI to it!). Absolutely incredible next level of deliciousness.

Mille grazie for giving us what every true pizza lover dreams of ♥️.

This place is so popular that there are two lines: one for dine in, the other takeaway! We arrived at 5pm and the place was already packed!!! We ordered two takeaway pizzas; both were first class.

As soon as I arrived in Firenze, I went to this recommended place. The pizza was delicious and the staff were friendly, which made me feel very welcome. I was grateful for the staff’s kindness, who even cut the pizza in half for us to share and checked to make sure it was okay.

Queued for 30+ minutes for a table, in which the queue barely moved. There was a free table at the bar opposite (same establishment), but they told us we couldn’t sit there unless called from the queue but no one did.

Eventually we gave up and joined the takeaway queue, which wasn’t clearly managed or marked, so ended up queuing in a collection queue to order, and wasted more time.

Around 1 hour later we finally had pizza, albeit in a hotel, and not dining out as planned. And after all this, the pizza was just okay… it was super wet (see picture) and the dough was quite thick. Unfortunately didn’t live up to expectations food wise and the experience of getting the pizza was unpleasant.

Usually a line but moves pretty fast. I only waited 10 minutes. The Pizza Marinara is the only Vegan option, if you like it spicy, ask for the Peperoncino Oil!

Good pizza, not life changing, but it’s still good. Got a margherita – crisp and fragrant skin, fluffy and soft inside, fresh toppings. A great standard of what pizza should be like.

We came 5 minutes before opening, got a seat first and ordered rather quickly! I would not want to queue for this.

This was my favorite pizza of all time back in 2010. I’ve had 15 years to taste many others and it still is in my top 3. I got the basic Margarita and the sausage and mushrooms. They were both delicious. I usually hate mushrooms on pizza but they were so fresh and good I ate the majority of my wife’s pizza. Pro tip.. get in the take out line and save a ton of time waiting in line. We took ours back to our ABB and enjoyed it just the same. This place got mega famous and you will wait at least 20-45 minutes in line anytime between opening and 9 pm. Went at 3pm and there was no one in the take out line. Went got our pizzas in under 10 minutes!
