As a local this is my favorite place to visit for a quiet relaxing breakfast or lunch. The food is consistently good, and the prices are reasonable for the atmosphere, service, and quality of food. My only very minor qualm is that you have to purchase bottled water as outfitting the historic building with the proper filtration would be costly.
Also a great day to stop on for ice cream and refreshments after a day out on the water. Absolutely love it here.

Quaint upscale restaurant in a historic house. Been wanting to stop by for a while now. Friendly attentive staff, no wait for a table. Great atmosphere. Breakfast was delicious. Scrambled eggs were light and tasty, probably added milk or cream. Swedish pancakes were similar to crepes and were delicious. Thoroughly enjoyed myself, had an upscale experience. I didn’t know what to expect, wore a Tshirt with jeans and felt a tad under dressed. Great place.

My husband and I enjoyed a delicious breakfast at Gustaf’s this morning. This restaurant is in a beautifully restored historic home in Lindstrom and is very charming as is the owner Deannah. It is refreshing to find such an interesting menu with Swedish roots using quality, organic ingredients. A welcome change to the typical fare of small town restaurants! We can’t wait to go back for lunch and one of their special event course dinners.

Absolutely charming place, beautiful sunlight casual rustic dining area. The food is very high quality, and very nordic. I would highly recommend this as a breakfast or lunch stop if you are in the area. The ingredients are local and very high quality.
The service is always friendly, and if you show during a non busy time of day they treat you like family.

A delightful restaurant making the most of it’s historic location. Great (if inexperienced) service. We had what amounted to a light snack (grilled cheese and apple pie), but both were excellent. I would happily return to try other menu items. All in all, an excellent choice, I look forward to visiting the next time I’m in town.

I’ve had a few sandwiches here and they are all great. We’ve ordered lunch for a small team from here as well and everyone enjoyed what they had.
I recommend the Gustaf Melt (turkey, bacon cheese, tomato on their signature bread). Best eaten hot, so keep that in mind if getting take-away.

Happened onto this little cafe and have fallen in love with it. Delicious food, charming atmosphere, and the service is friendly. Wonderful Butternut Squash soup! AND Cranberry wild rice bread. Definitely check it out.

My family and I visited for a special event – one of Gustaf’s high teas. It was a lovely day. We arrived promptly at 3:30 and were led to our table with finger sandwiches and scones waiting for us. We were served three different types of teas : Jasmine Mint, Prickly Pear, and Mulberry Blackberry. All of the teas were wonderful in their own way, but I enjoyed the Prickly Peak the most. There were three varieties of scone and three different types of sandwiches. Unfortunately, my own pickiness prevented me from enjoying the sandwiches, but everyone else at the table loved them. There was egg salad, a ham and cream cheese with pickle relish roll up, and I believe a ham sandwich with tomato, sprouts, and avocado. (Gustaf’s corrected my understanding – this was actually a turkey sandwich). We were also served a tomato bisque, which was very tasty, although I generally prefer mine more blended. We finishdd up with a spectacular cheesecake. The service was excellent, and we were rarely without full tea cups. I would definitely be interested to try their full menu, but I strongly recommend their high tea. Reservations in advance are required.

Very cute converted historic house. The food we got was very taste but both me and the person I was with got stomach aches after eating here. The waitress was very nice and we sat in the sunroom area. There was a limited amount of patio seating that would be great on a day with less wind.

This is our third time coming here and it’s always a treat. The Swedish pancakes are a hit as are whatever seasonal item they have in Tyler recommend getting some food to go. The chicken pot pie was fantastic. Also, if you’re craving a sweet treat, their pies are out of this world.
