Food was excellent. Service wasn’t as good. Waitress tried to do the best she could. She was running the bar and waitress the entire building. She had 8 people at the bar and 5 tables. Food was brought right on time but she didn’t keep up with our drinks very well. Like I said, she did the best she could.

I had a breaded tenderloin chef salad and it was literally the best salad I’ve ever had… and I’ve had tons of salads. It was the perfect amount of each ingredient.. the waitress was very sweet and on point.. 10/10 would recommend!

The food here is absolutely amazing! My husband and son had burgers which where HUGE unfortunately didn’t get a pic but they loved them and the girls and I had the chicken bacon ranch wrap which was off the chain. Great service also didn’t mess up one thing.
I would totally recommend anyone traveling through to stop by and grab a bite.

I loved her food when she was in Lone Tree and finally got around to trying out her newer Ainsworth location. The Chicken Fried Steak was agreed by my friends and I to be better than any other we’ve tried around the Iowa City area.
The Bloody Mary as well was fantastic. Recently been very surprised at how many places are absolutely terrible at Bloodys. Gussy’s is an exception.

This place is a gem! Best French fries I have ever eaten! Waitress said they’re lightly battered in a beer batter…SO GOOD! I had a cheeseburger and some breaded mushrooms. Everything was excellent and great service to match. So much so that I was inspired to leave a review – something I never do

I had eaten here before with a friend. I asked my sister to come with me this time.
The picture is after I had eaten some of the onion rings.
So many, thick, great breading.
I took half of them home and had the next day.
A great value.
A wonderful waitress.
I will definitely come again.
I’m sold on this place.
While in town. We went to fabulous finds.
What a great shop. ,,[m t sister returned this week and will be bringing her daughter with her next time

Fun.. Friendly atmosphere..Visited on Karaoke night..fast and Good service..plus I have recently enjoyed eating at Gussy’s Bar and Grill. The place is clean, staff is friendly, food was delicious. You get your moneys worth. The wait time was average. Between four of us we had onion rings for the appetizer (ended up taking half of them home) We also had breaded tenderloins(1 made 3 meals for myself.they actually serve it to you with 2 buns), bacon cheese burgers, cheddar balls and french fries. Only complaint I heard was…”I’m so stuffed!”

Holy smokes, great food!! I had the chicken bacon ranch sandwich, what a meal! The chicken was tender and juicy, the breading was light and crispy (and did not taste like stale fryer grease!!), the bacon was perfectly done, and just the right amount of ranch for flavor. The server was friendly and fast, great personality. I will be back and will bring friends!

I am leaving a 1 star review based on the service that was given, along with the food quality.
My family came here to celebrate a birthday dinner for my mom. Our drinks were alright, service was very poor. Although the waiter was polite, we had ordered waters prior which we had to remind her several times. We also had to ask for silverware after the food was already plated, had very long wait periods with very little people in the resturant. Once our food was served, several people with the same dishes had different gravys put on top with film chunks on top. My husband ordered the Tenerdeloin which he was not impressed with & also had clumped gravy chunks on it. The baked potatoes were not fresh, & were already baked, then reheated & tasted old.
Some aspects of the food was alright. But I personally will not be back again after paying 70 dollars for food you would find in a drive through.

Gussys has undergone a wonderful face lift, and yet looks much the same as it did before the fire. The food was even better than expected a s offers a diverse menu. I kept watching the good coming from the kitchen and it all looked yummy. Prices are fare if not less than average.
