The Chicken was very juicy with flavor. Don’t let the pictures fool you it may look dry that’s what I thought but it’s not at all! The Mac & cheese was very good you could tell it was homemade & not store bought. The chocolate chess pie is a must try for dessert!

The food was and always: DELICIOUS AND CAME OUT PIPING HOT AND FRESH! The beans is the best I’ve every had! My server Lakesha was very accommodating and was very nice! The overall atmosphere is amazing! You can tell that this place rocks because as soon as they opened, alot of to-go orders were flying off and the diners are getting their food fast! Great job! Worth the price!

Gus’s never disappoints! I stopped by the Southaven location and had the fried chicken with mac and cheese and coleslaw—classic comfort food done right. The chicken was crispy, juicy, and packed with flavor. The mac and cheese was creamy and satisfying, and the coleslaw added a refreshing crunch. Great food, friendly service, and a laid-back vibe. A must-visit for fried chicken lovers!

I really wish I could have given my visit 5 stars but I couldn’t this time. Although the waitress Keisha, was very sweet, the food was not. We had to wait nearly 40 minutes to receive our food abd when we do , it was just warm. The fish was warm, soggy like, fries warm but the okra were hot. I will never purchase fish at this facility EVER again. I feel like we wasted money this visit.

Ordered 2 chicken plate dinners (2 piece dark w/okra and seasoned fries and 3 piece white w/mac-n-cheese and coleslaw) via Uber eats. The order arrived early and nicely sealed in a tamper proof bag (thanks!). Everything looked amazing, but nothing tasted like it looked. The chicken was old and cold. The okra was burnt, seasoned fries had no season, but the Mac-n-cheese was ok, and the coleslaw was decent. This cost too much to taste so bad. I should’ve just cooked (or went to Popeyes).

Never had okra so they gave me a sample. It was awesome. Chicken was crispy and juicy. Mac n cheese was very good. Sweet tea was spot on.. Gerald was an awesome host. Made me feel like home. Highly recommend.

I visited the Gus in Southaven with a to go order and was very disappointed. The employees were very attentive and quick taking my order. After taking my order to my vehicle I noticed that it was wrong. The employees promptly resolved the issue. The chicken was very very dry. The crust was so hard that I can hardly eat it. It also lacked flavor.

I stopped there today because I saw the sign that says Famous Fried Chicken ,so I wanted to try ,it they are not kidding this is probably the best fried chicken I had in all my life the flavor was excellent the texture was perfect it was fresh everything was outstanding thank you very much.
