First time eating at Gus’s anywhere outside of Memphis, TN. They had a catfish special, which I tried. The fish came out hot and fresh. It was fried perfectly, and my husband loved it. But, I don’t care for a lot of spice on my food. I could taste the hot sauce, and that made it difficult for me to enjoy. I was disappointed by the greens but could have had seconds of the coleslaw. It was good. I know Gus’s has good chicken, but today, the chicken tasted like it could use a little more seasoning. I’m sure this was an exception, not the rule. Great location. I wish they had some outdoor seating out front because it was a little chilly inside to me.

A friendly, casual place to grab to amazing fried chicken and sides. The chicken was cooked prefectly, super juicy and with a perfect amount of heat. The baked beans and coleslaw were very good too! The Memphis special is perfect for dark meat lovers. The staff was very attentive, friendly, and polite. I will definitely visit again if I’m in the area.

I love this place! It’s my first time coming to this franchise and location. The staff was so welcoming. The environment was wonderful. I got a Togo order of the 4 wing special with beans and mac + cheese along with a slice of sweet potato pie. I came during lunch. The food came out within 10 minutes. The food came fresh out the oven! It smelled wonderful. The beans were ok. The flavor and texture was good, I just prefer mine to be a bit sweeter. The mac was seasoned and cheesy. The fried chicken was ammmmmaazzinng, especially with the hot sauce. The sweet potato pie left me speechless. Ms Diane thank you!!!

Stopped by on the way home to grab a side of mac and cheese to go with my meal at home. The mac and cheese was actually pretty good. Nice and creamy and had some paprika on top. Will definitely revisit!

Staff is real nice, food is spot on and consistent across the different locations. This seems to be a new location, clean, spacious and like always, real tasty chicken. Fried green tomatoes were spot on. Good spot for a quick bite.

Chicken was excellent, It’s super juicy and well seasoned. The sides left a lot to be desired.. especially the coleslaw.

We visited a Gus’s in Austin, TX and were thoroughly impressed. We were surprised to see this Gus’s in passing while visiting our daughter in Kennesaw. The chicken tenders, slaw and fries were delicious… side of beans, not so much. The fried chicken was ok but seemed a bit excessively greasy. The beans tasted like they were straight from a can and were warm at best. The lemonade was Minute Maid from the fountain. My daughter and husband had the greens which they both enjoyed. On a good note, the staff was very friendly and courteous, which is always a plus and the restrooms were clean with soap in the dispensers! It’s a fairly new location so we will give them some more time and go back for another round (smile).

Went on a Friday for lunch. Not crowded. We dined in and were greeted immediately. I got the 2 piece with Mac and cheese and fries. They were out of the fried pickles when we went.

Kattie gave us amazing service and sample of sides because we had never been here. The food was good and hot. We got the 2piece dark with baked beans and coleslaw with a side of fried okra to share. The portions we big. We also really liked the potato salad.

You must eat here… their fried chicken is amazing and it stays hot! Crispy but not thick breading. Different than anywhere else…The sides are really good too! A must visit!
