Service was nothing really good or bad. Atmosphere was sort of early 1960’s chic, but annoyingly noisy. NOT GOOD: the food was flat out weird. Anything fried, using any kind of oil, was oddly sweet. This included French fries that had a taste of sugar, like somebody in the kitchen put sugar in the salt. Same for a country fried steak…sickly sweet. Both of us felt queasy afterwards and very disappointed for the price ($50 for one country fried steak dinner and one Reuben sandwich with a shake). There’s a Culvers just two blocks away. Better off getting a burger.

My wife and I absolutely love Gus’s Diner,always friendly staff,and the food is great. Very busy during eating times, but worth the wait. It’s a little small inside so you’ll be sitting close to someone, but that’s what a diner is.Prices are very reasonable, and I am retired on a fixed income. Overall great place.

Nice place to sit down and eat with friends or family as well as for the price it’s worth it. The food is your typical diner food and is what to be expected. You get very good portion sizes of food for each meal. The service is a bit rushy for you to leave I’ve noticed during my last visit, i was just chatting with a group of my friends with food still on the table and to be eaten. They come over already trying to suggest and ask us for take out boxes. That was a bit odd, but I still recommend it though to anyone wanting a quick easy bite.

Great atmosphere, friendly employees, and large selection of food. I enjoyed not having to yell over the music in order to share a conversation. The food is good and my recommendation would be to share a meal with someone or bring a large doggy-bag because you’re going to get so much food! A nice place to go for stick-to-your-ribs food and nostalgia. Kids are welcome, but just bring the doggy-bag and not the doggie.

We were supposed to eat at the Pizza Ranch next door but it burned down. I found this place out before we knew Pizza Ranch was closed and glad we did because it was one of my favourite old school diners I’ve been to. The food was amazing and enough to make you stuffed. The service was spot on and the atmosphere was retro. It made me remember the good old times. I wish they make more locations like this and never close. Keeping these old school diners open brings back memories and shows younger generations how life was like back in the day. Overall I highly recommend coming here. Prices are reasonable. I had the Wisconsin Cheese Curd Burger with a side of cheese curds. It came with a complementary soup. I also got an apple pie with icecream for dessert. It was a great diner.

Stopped here last week Tuesday for kids eat free and everyone ordered breakfast for dinner. The food was great and the waitress was fabulous. I was pleasantly surprised with the bill even if we had not gotten the kids eat free. It would’ve still been much cheaper than most other places nowadays. This is our new go to over IHOP. Definitely give it a try!

Everything was awesome! Got seated right away even though it was the lunch rush. Service was prompt and friendly. The table had chicken noodle soup with home made egg noodle, coleslaw (crunchy and creamy!), Curd burger, Buffalo chicken wrap, Turkey club and a cheese burger. It was everything you expect from a diner and now I’m kicking myself for not getting pie on my way out the door.

Awesome little retro themed diner with checkered floors with a jukebox’s and all! We ordered the home style French toast with some coffee. The service was great and prompt. The waiter and waitress refilled our coffee and water several times while there. Great little spot to enjoy some breakfast anytime of the day!
