Bread is always over baked. Pizza dough to thick. On a kinder note salad are always good. Lasagna is good. Highland House and other Gus’s do a far better job on breadsticks. Always disappointed. I drive an extra 10 minutes to get bread sticks in Highland.

I walked in at 8:55pm thinking my order was ready, I accidentally ordered to the Brighton location. Without a second thought the manager asked me what I ordered, called the Brighton location to tell them I wouldn’t be coming to get my order and then proceeds to make my pizza. I keep hoping Gus’ food will get better, but I continue to be disappointed. Bread sticks keep getting tinier and tinier and price keeps getting higher. This time, the breadsticks were about 2 bites each, hard and cold. We grabbed a salad from the cooler, and the lettuce was brown. Had to pick through to find fresh lettuce. This place used to be so great! We now go to Hungry Howies where food is fast, fresh and great prices. Gus’ is off our list permanently, I am so disappointed to say. (And then they want me to tip them for grabbing a salad from the cooler!)

We’ve been ordering Gus’ for years for small family parties but I think last night will be our last time. We’ve had small issues here and there through the years (most often missing items that were purchased – so check your orders!) but last night’s quality left a lot to be desired. We ordered two 3# pans of mostaccioli, a medium chef’s salad, two bags of breadsticks, and a 16pc lemon pepper seasoned chicken. In total our order was $130. The chicken was absolutely awful – dry, lacking flavor, and the pieces were so small. The drumstick had literally one small forkful of meat on it (barely even a bite). The breast was so tough and lacked flavor altogether. A few of us tried the chicken and we ended up just throwing it all away. Literally threw $33+ in the trash. The breadsticks were smaller than we remember and a little tougher than usual, but good flavor nonetheless. The mostaccioli was as expected, has always been a crowd favorite here. The chef’s salad was big and fresh and the ranch was tasty as always. We might consider a small weeknight meal here with mostaccioli again, but honestly, I won’t rely on Gus’ for a special event again. The prices have gone up and the food quality is mid. I also ordered it online through Toast to be picked up at 5:30pm. It was not ready on time and we had to wait.

Their online ordering has made my experience with takeout orders so much more consistent. I absolutely love their Cajun chicken salad, amazing!!! Their bread sticks are crave worthy. The ranch dressing is made here and they sell pints of it, it’s really, really good. The portions of salad are on the large size, a small feeds my family of three. For around $22 we all eat a delicious meal and everyone is happy!

I ordered a pan of breadsticks and half tray of macaroni and cheese for Super Bowl event. I was looking forward to have them to cater our urgent care event a couple weeks from now too. However, after receiving this dry, burnt, no flavor Mac and cheese that will not be happening! Everything at this location has went downhill, including the breadsticks. As you can see the photo below, it was so nasty and dried out, the sides burnt, overcooked….no one ate it. Ridiculous! I am done with this location.
