The inside of the canzone was very good. The outside was an adventurous, crispy blackened crust. We asked the waitress if this was common practice, and she replied “It seems to be today”. We passed on the offer to cook something else due to a time constraint. I called the manager on Monday, his reply was I gave you a discount.

EDIT: While my first visit to this location was excellent, the following two visits were horrendous.

They served me, on two separate and consecutive visits, a Chicago pizza where all the sauce and cheese had leaked out into the oven before boxing. The regular (non-Chicago) style pizza is OK but nothing special. The hot dogs were very good. For me, Gusano’s doesn’t meet the quality expectations that their pricing implies.

Edit 2: Went back to Gusano’s again, ordered two pizzas – one Chicago, one regular. Spoke to manager when ordering and asked her to make sure it was made to spec. Arrived to pickup, pizza was made to spec. Manager attempted to tell me that I had already been reimbursed for my previous pizza (defective, cheese and sauce mostly gone) when I had not.

We enjoy coming to Gusano’s. Our favorite pizza spot in NWA! Ariya is a wonderful waitress.

I ordered food. They told me it would be 30 minutes so I got there 30 minutes later and waited a whole another 30 minutes for them to have it done by the time my last pizza was done and ready for pick up my first two pizzas were cold.
Honestly, I don’t See how they stay open. While I was waiting for 30 minutes, there were at least five other customers that came in and had to wait just like me. Every pizza that would come out, they would have no idea what the pizza was or what customer it went to so they would ask everybody in the lobby what they ordered

When I went the first time I thought everything was fantastic. This was our second visit and everything wasn’t exactly as I remember. We ordered two deep dish pizzas and instead of them feeling like deep dish it felt like a regular crust pizza with the crust high on the sides. My crust had the texture of a cracker and was super crispy. I’m sure I’ll give them another try at some point, but this was definitely not Chicago style deep dish. I posted pictures the first time I went and compared with the pictures this time, not even the same pizza.

Just okay. To preface this review, I’m allergic to raw tomatoes and occasionally, there will be a cooked tomato-based sauce that aggravates this allergy and their pizza sauce is definitely one of them. It wreaks havoc on me so I can’t eat their red sauce so truthfully, anytime I think of pizza, it’s not Gusano’s.
With that said, I came here with a group and ordered an Italian beef sandwich. 10/10 DO NOT recommend. The meat was soooo dry, the bread was super hard, and it did not taste good at all. Our waitress never came back to check on us after we got our food so I did not have the opportunity to ask for something different until we asked another waitress for help. By this time, everyone was done with their food so I requested a ham and cheese sandwich to go. Their cheese bread is really good and the ham sandwich ended up being good, too. My son ordered the carnivore pizza and he liked it. So the food is not all bad, the experience as a whole just left a lot to be desired. Check them out, though. Their pizza might just be what you’re missing from your life! Lol

The pizzas all tasted great but the prices were too high. The waitress told us we could do a half & half on a 10-inch pizza, so we ordered a half Hawaiian/half Margherita but she did not tell us about an extra charge for the Margherita half which amounted to an extra $4.20 on top of the already steep price of $15.99 for a 10-inch pizza. That’s just outrageous!

Food is edible, even if the order is wrong.

The service is.. well.. I’ve been here three times and they’ve messed up big enough to where I had to wait for my food to be completely remade two of the three times which were to-go orders. The first time was a pizza that took 45 minutes the first time and 25 minutes the second time. The second mess up was a Chicago dog and when I received the correct order, one of the two Chicago dogs had the toppings on the side, not even on the Chicago dog. The one time I dined in I had to call the store from inside the store to get someone to seat us (there was no other customers in the restaurant). All of the employees seemed to be out back when I called.

Atmosphere isn’t bad, everything else ruins it.

I often go to the Gusano’s on Pleasant Grove and the difference is unreal. I’m treated so much better there and I’m always taken care of. The only reason I choose to go to the Tontitown location is because I live a couple blocks away from it, if not for that I would never go back.

Wow!!! Yuengling on tap atmosphere is very relaxed. Food was well worth the 2 hour motorcycle ride here. Johanna rocks! She was spot on with our four orders never wrote anything down and chatting with us the whole time. Attentive but not overly so
