Everything was freshly made and delicious my family of 6 went on ja.28.2026 in celebration for our mom who passed away heavenly birthday. We got there a hour before closing and they all was still nice and made us feel welcome the rainbow trout and salmon and broiled walleye was all amazing the 3 childern with us had hamburgers and fries and said it was bussing lol the bread and butter was even still fresh definitely will be back soon than later .

Stopped in for dessert and a drink and this place did not disappoint! Gus & us is a very nice place with an atmosphere of everyone knows everyone. They definitely make everyone feel welcome. I chose a yummy slice of strawberry crunch cake that was so tasty and the frosting was light and fluffy! I also chose an espresso martini that was one of the best I’ve had! Would highly recommend you give them a try.

I ordered the triple decker club sandwich with ff and my wife ordered a 1/3 lb bacon cheese burger with onion rings.
The ff were good. The onion rings were very good. The bacon cheese burger was very,very good as was the triple club.
Our waitress Roxanne was very attentive and didn’t miss a trick.
The atmosphere & decor looks to be from the 70’s but was clean.
We had a very good lunch and we are looking forward to enjoying a dinner here soon.

I hate it when a staff gives up, and thats exactly how I felt when I came in with my son this morning. The water we were brought tasted like they hadn’t changed the filters in years, my tap water in Detroit tastes 100 times better. I asked if the chicken fried steak was made in house or pre made, and sadly she said it was pre made. My breakfast, a bacon and cheese omelet was mediocre, with the hashbrowns having that not fully cooked through texture to them. But I was hungry and I ate it. My son’s breakfast was not so great. Its either Krusteaz or Biscuick or even cheaper pancake mix they use, and they weren’t even cooked all the way through. My son who loves pancakes gave up after a few bites and he said the ham which came on the side tasted terrible. The worst part was while leaving we had to step out of the way of the manager so he could take guests past us to their table. Its like you can’t even wait half a second to let us walk by? It was awkward. Finally when we paid it seemed like we got the same scripted barely-engaging sort of a goodbye. Overall the place seems stale and we dont plan on coming back.

The French onion soup is delicious and a great price at $5.99. It came in a really cute crock. The pulled pork quesadilla was delicious. Very clean restaurant great staff we enjoyed it.

What a great time we had tonight. Our waitress Shandra was outstanding and made some great recommendations. Best Salad with out of this world Orange dressing. We will be back.

Pork chop was very good. Grilled whitefish was a little dry and over-seasoned. Veggies were nice but carrots way under cooked. Clam chowder tasted of chicken stock, not clam, but it was edible. The portions were good for the price the server was very pleasant and efficient.

Yesterday I had the absolute joy of spending the entire day with my beautiful mother, and again today! ⬆️ We stopped at Gus and Us on a Wednesday—perfect timing for their special: stuffed cabbage. Let me just say, this was only my second time in life trying it, and wow—the steamed vegetables were tender, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned. The stuffed cabbage itself was incredibly succulent and full of taste. They don’t skimp on portions either—you get more than enough! ️ But here’s the best part (and TMI in the best way): I had been feeling a bit stopped up, but that stuffed cabbage got things moving again—praise God for the bonus detox! It was a PLUS plus for sure. Highly recommend for comfort food that heals both the body and soul.
