I had a very disappointing experience as a DJ at Shagun Banquet Hall on Sunday, December 28, 2025.
• The venue opened at 9 AM, and from the start, management was uncooperative. We agreed on specific times to increase the volume, which I followed.
• During the event, another staff member told me not to use any bass, even though I was only using basic QSC K12 speakers with no subwoofer. This was inconsistent.
• When a dance performance started, the owner approached me and repeatedly used the F-word, called me an idiot, and threatened to unplug my equipment in front of guests. This was extremely unprofessional.
• For context, I was using very standard DJ speakers. I own more powerful RCF HDM 45s and subwoofers. If the owner couldn’t handle the volume of these basic QSCs, I can’t imagine what would happen if someone brought more advanced equipment. This hall is clearly not suitable for professional DJs.
In short, I’ve never experienced such disrespect in my many years of DJing. I strongly advise other DJs and clients to avoid this venue.

Guru Palace is the best spot for Indian food in North Brunswick. The food is always flavorful, fresh, and perfectly spiced. Pickup orders are prepared on time, packed well, and still hot when I get home. The staff is very pleasant and welcoming, making each visit smooth and enjoyable. A dependable spot for truly tasty Indian food!

Really amazing food! This place is great if your looking for authentic Indian food while also getting hints of Chinese cuisine. They’re buffet is amazing with a great variety of foods and at an amazing price. The staff is also ver friendly and helpful. This is also the banquet hall where I’m having my bridal shower, and they have great selections of halls for good prices! I have been to parties here before and the food does not disappoint. They recently opened up a beautiful banquet hall that is very big and spacious perfect for a wedding.

It was a little sad that the food didn’t taste as excellent as I had hoped. Perhaps it wasn’t my day. I had ordered biryani, and while it looked great, the taste was not up to par. Salt, a basic component, was absent from both the items, including the chicken and prwans. The taste was blended. Rice foods are a huge no-no; perhaps I should try something new. On a funny note, I never saw bell peppers in Biryani, followed by meat, unless it was a veggie biryani.

Best place to go! Food was the best Indian food I had in a long time! Owner happened to be there and talked to me for a bit. Great guy and amazing team. Beautiful venue for banquets with top tier food! Would recommend to anyone looking for a banquet or takeout

Have been to this place for private events like birthday or get together as well as proper lunch. Had a lunch buffet, the worst in that area. Taste wise its so avg, not so rich by spices that indian food known for. Consider the avg food and the taste that they serve in either events or lynch/dinner area.
NOTE: Found once goat hair from the goat curry, pic added. Even shown to the waiter, who was so ignorant (said it happenes once twice) and even didnt throw the curry from the buffets area. Also very next day someone asked a question here in google review mentioning about hygiene.

I ordered tandoori chicken few times in the past n was given dried chicken, maybe leftover afternoon buffet pasted with a chilies sauce. (Mild ordered)
I called again yesterday to order saying not to give old chicken with chilly, So that they don’t do the same mistake and the owner/manager was so damn rude.
He said “I don’t have manners to order” n refused to take my order n said to order from someone else.
*You don’t talk to customers like that*
