It’s been several years since our last visit, and we remember enjoying it then—we had ordered the saag and were pleased at the time.
Unfortunately, this visit was a big disappointment. We went on a double date, and none of the dishes at our table were enjoyable. Our food arrived unusually fast, which was surprising since most Indian dishes typically take time to prepare. The meals were only barely warm, and the flavors were very mild, lacking the depth and complexity we expect from Indian cuisine. The texture was gelatinous and unappetizing, and overall it tasted more like something from a jar than freshly prepared food.
Given how quickly the food was served and its barely warm temperature, it felt as though it may have been reheated rather than made fresh. Because of this experience, we won’t be returning.

I ordered to go. The food came fast. I got the mixed meat and garlic naan. It’s amazing. Honestly. Tastes really authentic. Probably one of my favorite Indian restaurants in the area.

The food was absolutely amazing and the prices were so affordable!
Nesam was very kind, gentle, and knew her way around the menu with professionalism.
Thank you Guras spice house for the well made and proportion sized food, and thank you Nesam for your expertise!
WILL come again when I visit Utah again!!!

Food was very good. Unfortunately they were out of brown rice and substituted Basmati rice without inquiring if we would prefer something else. The brown rice would have been a bit better for my bood sugar (I’m diabetic).

This place is amazing! The only thing we’ve ever ordered is the chicken tikka masala & garlic naan! We’ve tried going to some of the more expensive indian food restraints, but this place has spoiled us too much; the flavor and the cost can’t be beat.
We almost always get it to go, since it stays nice and hot! The staff is always so friendly and the food is ready in about 15 minutes.
Highly recommend Guras!

A great place when you are craving nan and those great tasting Nepalese dishes. Gura’s Spice House always is a joy to experience. They feature a full spectrum of meal choices and characteristic spices. Ever dish is made to please the palette.
You can’t miss dinning there and the service is always top-of-the-line. Friendly people who know how to deliver fantastic food straight from Nepal. Thanks Nesam, for being so friendly and easy to chat with.

This restaurant has so much tenderness, it’s truly a delight. The food, the people, everything is wonderful. Everyone should experience the goodness of this family owned restaurant! Truthfully, this is one of my top places to eat at!

Some of the best Indian food I’ve had!!! We go the Chicken Tikka Masala and some other grilled chicken thing. Both were 12/10. We live 30 minutes away but it’s totally worth the drive to come back.

Absolutely amazing service. Chicken Tikka was my favourite. Had that done hot and it wasn’t too spicy. Naan was great flavours with super thin and chewy texture. Lamb coconut curry was the only not great dish. Next time I’ll do chicken.

I went to the buffet today at Guras Spice House. The staff was incredibly friendly and I don’t think our server stopped smiling the whole time we were there. The buffet is laid out weird with the plates in the center and food on both sides. Also there didn’t appear to be any logical placement of the dishes with the Rice, dessert, and “appetizers” located toward the center of the line as well. I have been to many of the local Indian restaurants and I would say this one is above average on flavor. I didn’t have anything that blew me away, but everything that I did have tested good. Another oddity was that the website says the buffet includes a drink (soda), no drink was offered to us. There is a drink station, but it is oddly located and not clear if it is included in the buffet. Since I don’t drink soda it was not an issue. On the up side, our drinks were topped off often (4+ times) and never got below half full (and I drink a lot of water). I would definitely recommend if you are in the area. With most of these small dinning establishments the food quality probably varies a good amount, but today the food was good. I probably would’t drive past some of my other locations to get here, but if I was in the middle I might choose this one.
