I’m not normally a complainer. However, i was not a fan of the food. The egg roll tasted old and stale and was cold. The General Tso’s chicken didn’t taste like General Tso’s it tasted more like hot sauce and jelly. The chicken pieces were large though. The fried rice was plain, without vegetables and without flavor. And for 18 dollars, I’ll have to pass.

We have been going to Gunston Wok for a good portion of my life. We eat there regularly. It is one of our favorite restaurants.
The food is so much better than other Chinese restaurants. I am regularly disappointed when we are out of the area and order food from another Chinese restaurant. They are nowhere near as good as Gunston Wok.
It is very affordable. With inflation going crazy, other places have become way more expensive. We spend approximately $10 per person here. The pictures below show a $40 dollar meal. They are very large portions. We always have enough food leftover for another one or two lunches in the days following. All the leftovers microwave very well.
The people at Gunston Wok know our orders so well that sometimes they are confused when we decide to switch it up some.
If you are looking for a good, dependable restaurant, this is definitely the place to go. It’s always one of the top places we eat at.

I ordered a combination fried rice, bbq spare rip and an egg roll. The food came out faster than I expected, the rice was nice and hot and it was a decently portioned order. The bbq spare ribs have been the closest ones to the ones i had back home which is a fantastic thing. In my opinion this is a nice place to eat that if you’re taking the interstate.

Good Chinese takeout! Food was fresh, hot, and fast. Chicken was tender and great quality-all white meat! Easy to order and they are doing a great job of reducing contact and wearing masks.

I placed an order for a family meal for four plus a beef pad Thai-I noted in the order that I wanted zero pork. The Pad Thai had pork. The egg drop soup was NOT good. It had almost a fishy flavor. Idk. First time we ate there and last. We didn’t even finish the food it was that bad.

I only had fried rice and it was average taste. I cannot tell how good are rest of the food, but unfortunately I won’t be eating from this store again because as soon as I walked in I smelled strong cigarette smell. It seemed like the cook is smoking in the kitchen, which is not unheard of in Chinese restaurants.

Crispy shredded beef and Kung Pao chicken were tasty. General Tso’s shrimp had so much breading on it that I had a hard time finding the shrimp. I would not recommend this dish unless you mostly want fried bread. I asked for medium spicy and the dishes were mild. The portions were very generous as we have left overs. The delivery from the time I ordered took a total of 55 minutes. I like supporting local business and will try other dishes from them.
