We happened to drive past this establishment and saw lots of cars. It looked like a pretty good place to try, but boy, were we wrong…… This place is not good, it’s GREAT!!! From the moment we walked into the restaurant on a crowded friday night scene, we felt like we were locals. We got seated before the time they said it would take .. Anyways, the food was fabulous! The staff was super friendly and wonderful. Everyone we saw working here looked like they enjoyed being here, so that must mean the owners treat their employees well. We will definitely recommend this place to friends. Thanks for making out of town folks feel local.!!!! We hope to be back soon. 9.8 out of 10!! The .2 missing out of 10 is for the reheat factor from all the food we are taking home.

Love Gunpowder Lodge. Great selection of food on the menu and specials menu. Service was friendly, very attentive, but not hovering. I had the shrimp salad,however, others at our table had the Cali Wrap, The Godfather, and St. Michael’s Club. No one was disappointed. Portions are generous

Been there many times but this was the worse. Order a gin and club soda got a club soda….order the salmon salad without onions (allergies) got a salad with onions so I sent it back and told the other people at the table to go ahead and start …after all it was a salad how long could a remake take…..everyone at the table had finished their dinner and

I wanted to enjoy it more than I did, but for a near 150.00 dollar lunch with 2 adults and 4 children, I was hoping for better. The potato soup I had was lukewarm and too sweet. The Lodge Dip was mediocre (a small sandwich) with a plate of mediocre fries. The street tacos were not bad, but also small portions. The kids only had caesar salads, and I noticed the same portion in the small salad bowl was in both of the large bowls. Why even order a large salad? I was expecting more.

Everything we had was hot and fresh, they didn’t let our food sit in the window at all and they were mildly busy. Everything we ordered was hot, fresh, and cooked perfectly. We split the pretzels and beer cheese (really good) and I got the Chicken Chesapeake Wrap. It was amazing. The crab meat was really fresh. This place looks like a bit of a dive bar, but the food is great, the people are friendly, and the atmosphere is relaxing. We will definately go back again.
