First time here at Gunny’s BBQ. It was like eating at home with a friend. The BBQ was fabulous. So moist I didn’t need sauce! They have sauce though. Great sauces too because of course I tried them all.

Visited Gunny’s food trailer @ The Lakes at St David’s event. Wonderful service, Rib plate, Chicken Sandwich and a side of brisket. Array of housemaid sauces to choose from. Absolutely delicious. We will be visiting his restaurant in Sierra Vista to take some of his amazing sauce back home to Idaho.

The food was great, service was great, and they let us pose with one of the best horses, Gunsmoke (barn name Gunny) owned by Tucson Mountain Stables!! Best pulled pork in AZ. Would like to see sliced brisket instead of pulled, but delicious nonetheless. The potato salad has soul in it. The area between Hereford and SV now has three amazing newschool restaurants. The owner has local food trucks and shops that utilize the same space. A definite must go if someone wants bbq, another wants pizza, and a hangry person wants nachos.

Ate at this AMAZING restaurant with a friend who had been here before as it had been recommended by other people well and it did not disappoint! Some of the best food I’ve ever had in southern Arizona! The meat, rice and beans were seasoned perfectly — so much flavor! I’ve never been a big rice and beans person, not my thing, but their’s is the best I’ve ever had!
The owner is also the chef and one of the friendliest, most hospitable people I’ve ever met! He brought out samples of the meats, rice and beans ahead of us ordering, which is such a rare experience and such a kind and thoughtful thing to do! He was fun and genuine and you could tell that what he does for a living means everything to him. Such a passionate and joyful person. I will definitely be back with more friends who I know will be beyond happy to experience all this place has to offer!

Just had an amazing lunch at Gunny’s! The brisket and pulled pork were out of this world as was the Puerto Rican dishes we tried! (Black Beans and the Rice) The owner was incredibly kind and even gave us some samples to try which helped us decide what to order. You can really tell that they take great pride in the food they serve. Highly recommend a stop here if you’re in the Sierra Vista area. Make sure you bring a hearty appetite with you!

This maybe a little late but Gunny really delivered and came through at Salvation Army that one time and for outstanding times afterwards… He and his crew took really good care of us, an epic atmosphere of proportional stellernesss that home epic awesomeness brings to the experiential family meal time. I stopped in to drop off some food donations for the kids and veterans this morning, we were greeted by the owner with a smile. Then we were told that we should pick from the menu as a token of thanks. What a great place to have a meal. We had ribs and salad. Really great food.
