Had a great experience here. Everything was absolutely delicious. The bison carpaccio, bison ribs, and big sky ribeye steak were phenomenal. The dessert with huckleberry ice cream was great and all cocktails were as well. Angel was a great waiter.

Absolutely amazing food! The wonton steak tacos were mouthwatering. My husband said the game plate was one of the best meals he’s ever had! The Game Bolognese was surprising a spectacular as well. For dessert we had the apple pie with whipped cream and ice cream, and it was the perfect way to end the meal. Amazing service! amazing atmosphere! We will definitely be coming again.

The food was really good. If you’re just trying things out, I recommend getting the flight to share. It’s more than enough meat for two people with a side. The apple pie is amazing. The crust was just so good, I can’t even explain it. The service was very good and I also recommend the Huckleberry lemonade. We ordered the mac & cheese but she brought it to the table and I started gagging. I tasted it and it was not good. I’m not sure what was going on but I had her remove it from the table it smelled so bad. Aside from that, this place is highly recommended.

This place is often rated as the best restaurant in Jackson, and the Western ranch-style atmosphere is definitely strong. Even though it was very busy, we only waited a few minutes for a table. We ordered two signature bison ribeye steaks — one medium rare (dry-aged) and one medium (regular cut). Strangely, the same steak was served as different types depending on doneness, and the fat ratio was quite high compared to a typical ribeye. Flavor-wise, it was fine but nothing particularly impressive.

The fermented bread served before the meal was excellent, and the service was very good. Overall, it’s a classic spot with great atmosphere, but also very noisy, as most diners were speaking quite loudly.

This place has a good atmosphere- food wise, elk steak was great, cooked just right with good flavors; we also liked the Bison ribs, cooked perfectly with meat easily falling off from the bones, yet bbq sauce is a bit heavy – if you love bbq source, then you will love the Bison rib dish here, otherwise be aware:)

Gun Barrel Steak & Game House was incredible! We made reservations (definitely recommend – it gets very busy) and it was absolutely worth it. The atmosphere alone is amazing – filled with rustic, wildlife-themed decor that makes you feel like you’re dining in a classic Western lodge.

I had the ribeye and it was cooked perfectly – juicy, flavorful, and one of the best steaks I’ve had in a long time. My boyfriend ordered the game flight, which was such a fun and unique option – everything was cooked beautifully and full of flavor. We also started with the spinach artichoke dip, which was delicious and the perfect start to the meal.

It’s definitely on the pricier side, but every bite, every detail, and the whole experience made it worth it. A must-visit when you’re in Jackson Hole!

My son and I are visiting from Memphis and the locals suggested this restaurant since I wanted to try game burgers. It was probably less than 5 minutes from our hotel, so I took the opportunity. I didn’t order one of the game options, because it was far out of my price range!! I saw $48 and $98, and I quickly changed my mind. I got regular beef instead, and I wasn’t disappointed. I ordered to go, because my teenager was back at the hotel by himself. I loved the rustic decor and aesthetics which kept your eyes busy. I don’t know if I will revisit, because I want stay within my budget. However, that burger was delicious so I know the game options are just as delectable.

I enjoyed the bison ribs and the rice with pecans. The meat was so tender it fell off the bones. The sauce was good, but a little heavy on the tomato flavor and a little light on the Bourbon for my taste. The onion straws that came with the meal were excellent. Angel did a great job of serving our group of seven. Food came out fairly quickly and all to order. The restaurant wasn’t as busy as normal, so we had no difficulty hearing conversation. Thoroughly enjoyed the evening!

What an experience. Had an elk steak and it was divine. One thing that surprised us was how good the desserts are! That apple pie should be called Santas Apple Pie cuz it was a piece of Christmas, homemade ice cream was think and amazing. Seriously can’t wait to go there again.

After reading the positive reviews, my husband and I walked into Gun Barrel Steak and Game with high expectations. I ordered the tenderloin with the blue cheese sauce and my spouse ordered the rib eye. We are steak enthusiasts and have dined on it in many venues. For the price point, we did not feel Gun Barrel brought the quality we are used to in beef. That being said, we liked the western atmosphere and our waiter very much.
