It’s a good country cafe just like you would expect. Staff were very pleasant. Salad was good Texas toast great. Ribeye was decent I just prefer gas or charcoal grill vs flat top but it was really big esp for the price tag. Will go back again soon.

Server was nice! Food was disgusting! Beans straight from the can and off brand… Pork was cold, catfish was fried to death and tasted like they drug it through the parking lot! Ribs were dry as the desert… cheese sticks were great and the hush puppies but that’s about it! Smitty’s Family Restaurant up the road is waaaaaaay better and they use quality ingredients!!! 1st and last time here

If you love to eat local while traveling DO NOT pass by this place!! Food and service excellent! Great portions for amazing prices also. Hubby got the catfish and shrimp and I tried the brisket. All was delicious. Be prepared for a bit of a wait if you arrive with the after church crowd but SO WORTH IT!! Thank you to the friendly, attentive staff.

Excellent service, delicious food. Brunswick stew was very good but was like a pureed version. Very different from whole lime beans, corn etc. you get in Brunswick GA. Really great restaurant and very generous portions.

Visited from Florida in Feburary! Great food at a great price. The staff were friendly and very attentive to us. Brisket was so tender it was falling apart. I’d definitely go out of my way to stop by again on my next visit to GA!

We love to go to Gumlog. They have the best catfish around. Steaks are great, they are so tender that they just melt in your mouth. Waitress’s are so friendly they make you want to come back. All around it is one of the best places around to eat

Met an old friend for lunch. We both selected the catfish and shrimp. Instead of fries, I ordered onion rings, which is extra. We both though the catfish was excellent, but the shrimp was a packaged food service product. Although the shrimp was good, fresh would have been much better. The onion rings were excellent. The sweet tea was almost as good as GrandMa’s.
The service was excellent, those ladies know how to take care of their diners. Next time we are looking forward to trying the BBQ and Brunswick stew!

Very friendly people. Good food. I never had hush puppies like that. Very good.
They are only open on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
I was in the Highway and looking for a place to eat. This looked awesome and I was already in SC but I turned around and it was worth the trip. I really needed a break from driving.

Food was fine – nothing special. The Brunswick Stew was what we called “hash” in South Carolina and was usually served over rice but here it was in a bowl with a few slices of white bread. Our waitress was super nice and we were delighted to hear her sing Happy Birthday to a fellow patron. We’d come back but order something different. We found out too late that the catfish was their specialty!

Best catfish platter, ever. Perfectly fried and battered. Hush puppies. French fries, with a loaded baked potato to go. Service was great.. Thank you for such an enjoyable dining experience.
