Nice lil family owned type business. Fried fish and shrimp were great. I also ordered gumbo, it wasn’t bad just not to my liking. Second time here…would go again for the fried seafood. I forgot…I also had cheese sticks but the marinara was horrible and the cheese sticks were flaky like…can’t really explain the texture! Lol…wouldn’t get then again!

I decided on the “Swamper” or pick 3 and chose (clockwise from top) red beans & rice, crawfish etoufee, and seafood gumbo.
– Red beans and rice fantastic
– Crawfish etoufee was good, nice spice/flavor, not a lot of crawfish
– seafood gumbo was DELICIOUS, excellent flavor profile.

Will certainly come back to try the specials!

Cashier/waitress very polite and helpful.

I came with a group at work. We got to seat together. I had the chicken fried steak lunch special. It was really good. The portion is hige. Food came quick.
The smoke from the kitchen was really strong though.

Got the chicken and spaghetti special today as well as the catfish and freedom fries. I don’t think they’re called freedom fried here but they were crispy on the outside and nice and decently soft potato on the inside with tasty flavor and good amount of salt on them.

The chicken and spaghetti, along with 2 pieces of I think garlic butter toast, was tasty and filling. You get a good amount for 10 bucks and the chicken is shredded mixed into the pasta. The pasts being I believe a Cajun seasoned pasta (pic below). Along with the delicious coke I could not finish the whole plate. I mightve been able to but then I’d get the itis and I needed to go back to work.

The catfish was also yummy and crispy. I didn’t like the tarter sauce the catfish came with as it had a horseradish taste to it and that’s the one flavor I don’t really like when it comes to sauces. Regardless, the catfish by itself was good. I can’t say it’s the best I’ve had around here but it’s up there for sure.

Did I mention how good the fries were? I’m the type that can eat fries by itself but I also like them with ketchup; but no ketchup is needed with their fries.

I’ve ate here twice in the past and while I don’t particularly remember what I got before, I also don’t remember having any complaints so they deserve at least 4.5 stars but I’m definitely bumping it to a 5 because I’ve had no complaints and their coke is really good too.

(Not review related) Thanks to the kind Veteran that was in front of us in line for his invaluable service and for covering our meal.

This place used to be amazing but unfortunately like so many other places around here it’s steadily been declining. First it was switching to cheaper ingredients in some of the food, wasn’t a huge deal but the shrimp got smaller in size and a fraction of the portion. Tonight I drove over 30 mins to pick up dinner only to wait forever to get my change bc the little girl was too busy with her conversation with her coworker. Got home and the entire order was wrong! Not only that but it was all overcooked. Unfortunately I won’t be returning. Too much money wasted already and it’s gotten too bad

I’m sorry I don’t have pictures of the food. It was so good it was gone too quick.

The staff was very kind and helpful to our group of guys from Virginia who don’t know what the Cajun words meant.

We tried most of the menu. Everything was good. The crawfish etufe was good but a bit too spicy for me.
The gator bites were good just be aware that the inside is a bit mushy, don’t expect a hush puppie consistency.

Highly recommend this place

We had a wrestling tournament down in Shreveport and after decided to give this place a try. The total experience was outstanding. The people working there are so friendly and helpful. I had 5 High School boy who had never tried Cajun food. The staff was awesome, letting them sample stuff and helping them order. The food was great. The boys loved the crab cakes. Had to order 2 more orders, they loved them so much. If you’re in the area, give this place a shot!
