We’ve been coming here for at least 6 years now, the only difference this time was I brought my mom to celebrate her 80th birthday. I am very happy to share that once again the food was amazing and our waitress was wonderful. Now my mom wants us to take her there again, which I will definitely do!

The service here is spot on! I just loved #5, boneless chicken, gravy, rice, and an egg roll. So yummy and the price is right. Can’t find brown rice like theirs on the west coast! ❤️

Solid spot serving traditional Chinese American fare as well as some classic Chinese dishes like Ginger Scallion Lobster and Mapo Tofu.
The former is a rare special, along with its sister dish Cantonese Style Lobster, that is highly recommended, while the latter is a regular menu item labeled as “meat sauce with bean curd”, just fyi.
Not the greatest mapo but it’s respectable and close to home. When I want an excellent version I have to drive to Providence or Boston so this is a fair trade all things considered.
Hot and Spicy Ribs are also a personal favorite, as well as the Spicy Chicken Wings and House Fried Rice. Haven’t had a bad example of any of these dishes in years.
Service is often good, sometimes great, and rarely ever an issue in my experience. Bring cash to tip, if possible.

Oh my god I’m absolutely disgusted right now. I just found a fingernail in my beef lo mein leftovers. No this isn’t an onion. My family has been going here for decades and this has been my go-to Chinese spot forever. Unfortunately will have to find a new Chinese spot. I’m never going here again .

We Usually order take out with there online menu. It is quick and easy and Usually takes about 15, 20 minutes for food to be ready for pickup. I have eaten many times in the restaurant and the food is amazing as is the service. Great staff and an awesome bartender. My favorite Chinese food restaurant around.

I usually love the food. Today I was very disappointed ordered 3 number 5 combination for takeout. Got home and there was no gravey on the chicken thank goodness for duck sauce. It will be a while before I go back to Gumbo. I’ll look into a different Chinese Restaurant

It’s Christmas and I placed a take out order. I asked that our meat be cooked well done. Here is where it went wrong…I’m being told NO, NOT today!! We’re busy. There’s NO special accommodations! Umm, okay??? I said it’s not a special accommodation. Im asking to cook the meat a few minutes more. Nope, we can’t do that. Do you want to CANCEL your order? Now I’m thinking this person is super rude! Um, sure yes, I do. Who wouldn’t cancel after that snarky comment? I tell my family what happened and they convince me that it’s no big deal, we can just cook it more in the air fryer. It’s the PRINCIPAL!!!! I should not have to come home and cook food! Since they wanted it, I called back, spoke to someone else, thank God and reordered the food. I get there and was told that my order was CANCELED. I said no, I called back and re-ordered and actually I didn’t speak to you. That’s when I knew I was talking to the first caller (who was the super rude one). Now I’m face to face with her! She’s young Asian in her 20’s. She says to me that I can replace my order, but it will take 45 mins to an hour wait. While shes standing in front of me with a big smirk on her face!!. It took all I had to walk away!! Like the lady I am. All the other waitresses had their heads down, pretending not to know what was happening. No manager, no one intervened! Really?? I wonder how many others she acted out towards? I called Sweet Ginger, in Fairhaven. They cooked it the way I asked! No hesitation!! It felt good walking away and not giving into her immaturity! I can only imagine how much $ they will continue to lose with that kind of representation answering the phones. To top it off where is the loyalty to your customers over 25 years? Shame on you all to pretend nothing was happening. Ignorance is bliss!

Best Chinese food in town. Part of my local restaurant rotation. Favorites include General Gau’s, Pu Pu platter, Gumbo Delight B with the crab Rangoons, Pork fried rice and chow main sandwich. Joke with the staff that I’ve eaten so much Gumbos that I’m becoming part Chinese. Great local business to support.
