I had an excellent experience at Guisados! The restaurant was exceptionally clean, welcoming, and offered a wide variety of delicious options. The customer service was truly 10/10 — every staff member was kind, attentive, and made me feel right at home.
A highlight of my visit was when the owner personally came out from the kitchen to greet me. He took the time to chat and even offered me some of their homemade mole to try — such a thoughtful and genuine gesture that really stood out.
I ordered two menudos and chilaquiles, and everything was absolutely delicious. The chilaquiles, in particular, were outstanding — full of flavor and perfectly prepared. Each plate was filled to the top and came with generous sides of salsa, cilantro, lime, and onions.
If you’re looking for a family-friendly restaurant that takes pride in great food, cleanliness, and top-notch service, Guisados is definitely the place to go. I’ll absolutely be returning with my family!

Update for second visit.
My wife and I visited for first time this past Monday and we tried the burritos with asada. We were very pleased with the food and the great customer service from the Chef.
My wife and I visited for second time and this time we ordered chilaquiles verdes and once again, our food was above expectations. Chef Angel offered us to add a piece of Cecina to our plates and the beef was amazing. The staff is always very friendly.

Hands down the best Mexican food I have ever had. I have eaten at Guisados twice, lunch and dinner. Both times the food and service were fantastic – definitely try the lunch plates of rice, beans, and a meat stew. The ingredients are fresh, the food cooked and seasoned to perfection. I had the lamb with vegetables last night and was very pleased with the recommendation. The food here is much more than tacos and burritos. I spoke with the owner at length last night and he is passionate about authentic southern Mexican cuisine. There is a reason that this place has over 100 five star reviews!

The hospitality felt like family! The food was delicious! Guisados is like going to grandma’s house. The meal felt like a warm hug, authentic, large portions, and service was quick and we were asked if we needed anything multiple times. Will be back, most likely once a week!

Such a great place, I can’t wait to go back. So many restaurants around here have a great looking menu but the flavor/spices just isn’t there. This place really hits.
The food was delicious. Everyone was friendly. The arroz chofan had so much flavor and was a great portion, the shrimp with corn and chorizo was absolutely to die for. Do yourself a favor and get the cucumber lime juice as well. This will be my favorite new place.
Oh and the Desserts are fire as well.
Don’t sleep on this place.

WOW! If you’re in the area and are hungry this place is a must! Not only is the food amazing but you are also greeted by the friendliest people! Service, food and the environment are a 10 out of 10. Give it a try you won’t regret it! Portions are great for the price and you are able to tell that the ingredients are fresh. I will definitely be back to try more things on the menu!

We got the chicken nachos which came with fresh guacamole, chicken was juicy and they weren’t stingy with the meat like other restaurants in GSO.
The chicken empanadas were filled with chicken and cheese, it came with a spicy creamy sauce and a carrot salad.
The “Pica pollo” came with 4 pieces of juicy chicken and fries and with a homemade sauce.
We also got carne asada, grilled chicken, and pork, will be definitely coming back!!!!

My group of five wandered in on a whim after hearing whispers of their hearty, soul-warming dishes, and oh boy, we were not disappointed. From the moment we sat down, the aroma of simmering stews and fresh herbs wrapped around us like a hug.The food? Absolutely stellar, authentic to its core and bursting with flavor. We dove into a spread of massive plates that could easily feed an army: tender, slow-cooked meats in rich, spiced sauces, paired with fluffy rice and vibrant veggies that screamed tradition. Every bite was a revelation savory, comforting, and so delicious we were scraping our plates clean while still eyeing the portions like they were bottomless. These aren’t dainty tapas; these are generous, family-style feasts that leave you full and happy, with plenty of leftovers to savor the next day. Portions like that are a rare treat in a world of skimpy servings, and the quality shines through in every detail.But what truly elevated the experience was the personal touch from Chef Angel himself. Midway through our meal, he stopped by our table, sleeves rolled up and a genuine smile on his face, to ask if everything was to our liking. We assured him we’d devoured it all and then some five of us were stuffed to the brim!, but he noticed our doggy bags and got a bit concerned, double-checking if we’d truly enjoyed it.
