Loved this new place! Big open space in the main area made it feel really cool. Obviously drinks were great, and had a lovely beer flight which was a really good way to try the less common brews. The server was excellent and even comped a drink for a birthday!

Excellent food and service to go with an excellent beer selection. The Far Post Nitro Pub Ale was a welcome surprise. Not the most Irish of experiences in Chicago but it tracks with the Guinness store in Dublin so can’t complain.

Ready for a semi-weird review? My friend and I dropped by and were excited about the live music on a weekday – what a treat! We got a round of discount drinks for happy hour, super yummy. We also got some food, which was also really yummy and the portions were generous. Unfortunately, I found a hair in my burger, about halfway through the burger. Honestly, these things happen, mistakes happen. But! Our server handled the issue like a pro, using humor and sincerity to make it right (in the end, he went above and beyond!)! I wish more businesses handled hairy situations (pun intended) the way it was handled at Guinness – I’m excited to go back and try more drinks and more food!

Cool place. Pretty big patio if you want to sit outside. Tons of parking if you’re driving there. We had a corn maze cream ale made from IL grown corn. It was cold crisp and refreshing for a hot summer day. Also had a pineapple coconut stout that was pretty unique. Food was solid. Irish bread and butter are a must. Big bowl of thin fries were nice and hot and salty. Brussels sprouts had a subtle kick. Beef stew was good. Not a whole lot of beef in it. Big space if you have a big group it would be a good place to check out.

The food was good, just felt like the menu was quite small and limited. Also Guinness stout is the only beer brewed by Guinness they have on hand. (They have guest taps) I was hoping it would be more like the one in Dublin that has Guinness brewed lagers, IPAs etc. Beautiful interior and design and top quality service.

When you enter, you must walk thru the gift shop first, past the counter and attendant there, i was a bit confused at first, thinking we had come in the wrong way and said something to the attendant at the register. She rolled her eyes and just pointed to the host stand. Okay then. The building is beatiful, art and decor too notch, whom ever designed this place gets 5 stars. My server and her trainee were fine- though hard to find when we needed something but we only came in for a few drinks so not a big deal. The drinks were decent, not a lot of selection and the rosemary cocktail was very very strong rosemary taste – which I liked but made the others in my group gag.
The one star for service was due to the gift shop, I was very excited to come here, I tried asking the woman behind the register (same woman who rolled her eyes when we came in) questions on the apparel and she was very dismissive, short answers, very rude. I bought a few souvenirs (my family loves Guinness) and when checking out she tossed the stuff back at me when I said I didnt want a bag, whipping her hair around and looking like I was causing her problems by being there. What was her problem?? I was taken aback by her behavior and just left. I had wanted to get a few more things but honestly, the interaction left a bad taste about the place. Considering shes the first person you see when coming into the building, she really set the tone for the visit. Don’t know that I’ll be back.

First time at Guinness and had to say, Vlad our bartender, made the experience a time to remember. Drinks during happy hour are awesome and the ambience is good for both date nights and a night out with the boys. 5/5

I see this from the metra every work day and finally tried it out. I had to get a Guinness and then tried their “rooted in cover” Landbeir. Very good. Expect to pay $8/9 per beer. Truffle fries were good too and big enough to split with someone. Beautiful tap room.

Food and locally brewed beers are amazing! And of course the Guinness is on point – freshest pints we’ve had outside of Ireland.
Ruben egg rolls are one of our go-to apps anywhere that has them on the menu. The ones here are the best we’ve ever had!
Fish & Chips and Bangers & Mash are also delicious.

I got to check out the Guinness Open Gate Brewery Chicago while visiting town. The Harp set up on top of the bar is really cool, lots of merch too. Guinness pours were good and I absolutely loved their micheladas. I didn’t have any food. I had dessert, their crème brûlée was really good. Service is good, bartenders are friendly and I like the lively Irish atmosphere.
My only con about Guinness brewery is the parking, it can be a little challenging to park.
