Mexican-American who moved here from the south. We’ve been yearning for good Mexican food (that we don’t have to make ourselves) and we finally found it after almost year of being here. It hit every spot. We enjoyed every minute of it. Anyone who wants good Mexican food just needs to come here. Everything on the menu looked good and I’m ready to explore all of it

Excellent service at Guerrero Maya. The wait staff was quick, attentive and enthusiastic. The food was all very tasty and could easily be 2 meals. There’s plenty of seating, and the drinks are delicious.

I’ve ordered from Guerrero Maya through delivery apps before, but this was my first time dining in. I was seated right away and served water along with tortilla chips and salsa. For lunch, I chose the chicken chimichanga special, priced around $13. I left a generous tip since the staff were attentive and checked in often. The portion was more than enough, so I brought the rest home to enjoy later!

My husband and I were vacationing in Portland for a few days and had a craving for Mexican food. We took a chance on Guerrero Maya and I am so glad we did. The staff was friendly and the service exceptional. The margaritas were the best we ever had-incredibly fresh tasting with a just-right punch. The black bean soup was very yummy. We each had a burrito for an entree. They were amazing and HUGE! We could have ordered one and shared. At the end of the meal they gave us a complimentary dessert of fried tortilla with whipped cream. It was just enough sweet to top off an excellent meal. I only wish we had a version of this restaurant in our hometown. This will always be a stop for us when visiting to Maine.
