The staff was warm, attentive, and made us feel genuinely welcome. The fresh flour tortillas were incredibly tasty, and the barbacoa was tender and full of flavor. The pancakes were light, fluffy, and absolutely delightful. We truly enjoyed our experience here and highly recommend this place!

This place is amazing! the most cleanest restaurant. the server is very sweet and attentive, the food is absolutely delicious along with the pancakes they are so soft and made from real batter and practically melt in your mouth especially when eaten with coffee, the chorizo con huevo a la Mexicana, it was very savory along with homemade tortillas and the beans were amazing, very tasteful in your mouth, and crispy breakfast potatoes. I definitely HIGHLY recommend coming to eat here at this beautiful restaurant the atmosphere is very calming and lovely, bring family and friends there will be no disappointment here.

We really wanted menudo and not a lot of places have it avaliable during the week. After reading other reviews we decided to give them a shot and we weren’t disappointed at all. We called in to pick up an order for Menudo on a week day morning. The gentleman that answered was professional & friendly, advised us order would be ready in about 10/15 mins. The menudo was pretty good! Perfect amount of meat and broth. This menudo wasn’t greasy and had great flavor. I gave them a four star because we ordered two large menudos and they only provided one set of garnishes and it wasn’t enough. We definitely want to try out other item on their menu.

Very authentic. Everything is scratch made in cazuelas. Hand made corn tortillas. The menudo is the best in the RGV and the gorditas remind my wife of her grandmothers. “Absolutely delicious gorditas!” If you’re looking for authentic Mexican breakfast and you haven’t been here, you are missing out. Great atmosphere and fast courteous service.

A Hidden Gem Worth Discovering: Guerra’s Kitchen.
On a recent late lunch outing, I stumbled upon Guerra’s Kitchen and was instantly charmed. The clean, bright interior paired with upbeat music created a welcoming atmosphere that felt both fresh and inviting. Friendly staff greeted me with genuine warmth, setting the tone for a pleasant dining experience.
Though the menu is modest in size, each entrée appeared thoughtfully crafted. I opted for the puerco asado plate—and it did not disappoint. The vibrant red sauce might suggest fiery heat, but it was surprisingly mellow, with a beautifully balanced flavor that complemented the fork-tender pork.
Served alongside were traditional rice and beans, but the rice stood out with a rich, buttery taste that elevated the dish. Throughout the meal, the staff remained attentive and responsive, enhancing the overall experience.
With generous portions and affordable pricing, Guerra’s Kitchen delivers exceptional value. It’s a spot I’ll gladly return to—and one I’d recommend to anyone seeking flavorful comfort food with a personal touch.

The food is outstanding and great service. Had the pork chicharones in green sauce and their pork Asado, so delicious. Top it off with some Roy’s Lemonade, Home made corn and flower tortillas. Definitely a spot to come and check out in Edinburgh, TX.

We decided to try this place out because the food in the pictures looked appetizing. When I received my plate however, that was not the case. The barbacoa was full of huge pieces of fat and was extremely greasy. All I could do was pick at it, and just lost my appetite. I asked the waitress if that is the way they usually make it and she said was surprised that I asked, but did admit that it’s always fatty. Pictures can be deceiving. We also didn’t appreciate that the owner went live and put us on video without at least asking if we’d mind. Unfortunately we will not be going back. If you decide to try it, I hope you all have a better experience than we did.
