We were in town for Polar Express and found the food in the area left a lot to be desired. We ended up here on a whim because my kids love Mexican food, and it was probably our best meal while in town. Service was quick, no wait, and the food was good. Our only hangup is that we ordered traditional chicken tacos, and were brought pork. It was fine with me, but we did get the kids swapped out for Chicken. The downside was it took quite a while, my husband and I were finished eating before the kids food came out. Regardless everyone’s food was very good. After eating a lot of mediocre meals in town my kids were thrilled with their lunch here.

I called yesterday and asked if they served tamales. I was told they had pork tamales, three for $10.00. I walked in and ordered take out. The man asked if I wanted beef and sauce on top of the tamales. I opted to have the sauce on the side. It was very tasty. The man who waited on me was friendly.

We had to wait quiet some time and there were only a few tables in use. We waited over 15 minutes. The food was good, but not quiet as good at the one in Maggie Valley. The workers are not as friendly either. The atmosphere is totally different.

Fast service, really good food. Chips and salsa came out instantly. The salsa was a little spicy which I loved. Chips were thin and crunchy!

Food quality is a bit off from previous visit.
Last visit was about 18 months back and the food was quite good.
Plentiful chips and salsa. Grilled chicken was dry and too firm.
Service and price were 4 star. Mostly local patrons. They have been in Bryson City over 20 years.

The food is amazing, and so is the service. I am giving a 4 star review because the restaurant was pretty dirty, to be fair though, I arrived shortly after lunch so maybe this was dilue to a lunch rush. Still, the food is excellent, and authentic.

We walked in, placed our to-go order and then my wife and I sat at the bar. She ordered a drink (peach margarita,below) while we waited for our food.
Not only did the bartender greet us at the door, he actually went behind the counter and made my wife’s drink!
We talked about life for awhile and he left to check on our food.
I ordered the Guayabitos burrito and my wife had the Taco salad with chicken.
It was huge and delish! I added pico to my burrito . I did not try my wife’s food this time, but she said it was good.
We went during a slow time of day, so the atmosphere was relaxed.
Next time we’ll try and eat-in to get the full experience!
