It’s been a while since the last time I was in this area. My intention was to visit another establishment nearby that I know quite well, but I wanted to try something different, and Guate Gualan couldn’t have been better. It’s a family-friendly place with excellent food, where the owners, Oscar and Verónica, will make you feel right at home. I look forward to visiting them again soon.

Only my second time eating Guatemalan food, I’m impressed with this place though. Place is cozy and the food taste Great!!!, I love the way they season their food. A lot of times you go to these latin American food joints, and the food is bland and really no flavor. It’s because they try to cater to our American taste, rest assured bro…they don’t cook that way at home. So it’s great when you go to a place like this, and the food is REALLY Authentic .

I had an awful time at this place. not a great place to take your family to eat. not only will you wait a very long time for your food but you will get nasty attitude from the people who work here. I came here with my family the day after Thanksgiving and we had to wait over an hour for our food. when I asked the lady working here where the food was, she replied ” I only have two hands!” Spoons were missing when we were served soup everybody’s plates were served at different times. it was just an all-out bad experience, and this was not the first time that I came here. I gave them the benefit of the doubt from the first time I came and was given bad service and the food is way more expensive than should be priced. they charge you as if they are a five star restaurant. Never coming here again!
