Wowwweeeee! Probably one of my favorite restaurants in the Charlottesville area. This time around (and there have been many a-times), we vouched for El Nacional breakfast platter, tres leches, and cafes con leche.

Cute little spot on Main st. in Cville – it was my wife and I’d first time here and we got to the restaurant around 9:30 on a Friday. We waited a few minutes for an outside table. We both got Coffee (cuban for me, iced for her) and both were excellent. I ordered the Huevos Rancheros and she got the Avo Toast with a side of scrambled eggs. 5 stars – would definitely go back for the food, atmosphere, and the service.

I tried Guajiros for the first time today and it’s definitely one of my favorite restaurants in Charlottesville now. I got the Mom’s Platter with pulled pork and fried cheese with a side of plantains and it was so so delicious. I absolutely loved the hot sauces too and I even bought a bottle of the orange/mild sauce for myself because it was THAT good. The cafe con leche was great too and really hit the spot for a Saturday brunch.

Amazing, high quality, fresh food you can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. Have been here twice and have tried a lot of the items on the menu. The breakfast bowl is the go to, but the fried cheese, the coffees and the iced teas are all amazing. Great flavors, highly recommend.

Wow! Delicious. Great, friendly service. Husband is picky and he loved it too! We loved it so much we went two days in a row. The wedding party with us went after we recommended and they were blown away too.

The taste of rice and beans took me back to South America. I loved the pulled pork and fried cheese a lot!

We are not local to Charlottesville, but this was our second time eating here. We considered sharing the mamas lunch meal, but I’m sure glad we didn’t. If you are at all hungry, there’s no way you would want to share. Also, $15 for the mama’s special felt pricey after seeing the small plate. Just pointing this out in case you are considering sharing. Good food though. Cafe con leche was on point.

The food was pretty solid but not particularly great. The general ambience was fun and family friendly. Kitschy in all the right ways.

We had our first brunch experience this past weekend. We were able to snag a seat outside and the atmosphere was lovely. Nick, our server, was enthusiastic and very friendly. The food was delicious. Can’t wait to come back!
