I visited this place with high expectations because I love birria, but unfortunately it didn’t meet them.
The birria broth was very bland and watered down — it lacked flavor and tasted more like plain water than a rich consomé. The tacos were okay, but nothing special.
The service was quite slow, and even though it wasn’t very busy, it took a long time to be attended. There was also confusion when it came time to pay, and they didn’t handle the billing properly.
I hope they improve the flavor of the broth and the organization of their service.

I’m giving this place one star because it was honestly a very disappointing experience. The service was extremely slow from the moment we arrived until we finally got our food. The guy helping us didn’t know how to charge correctly; we would tell him one thing and he would ring up something different, which caused confusion and even more delay.
I specifically came to buy birria tacos, and they were a huge letdown. The birria didn’t taste like birria at all. It was watery and had no flavor. It didn’t have that rich, well-seasoned taste you expect. On top of that, they took a very long time to prepare the food, even though the place wasn’t busy.

So glad to have this place in the neighborhood. Food is consistently great and you get what you pay for; way more food than Chipotle. The place is clean and employees are very friendly. This is now a weekly lunch spot for me.

I really enjoyed the crunch wrap! The high quality ingredients made it so delicious. I wasn’t as impressed by the taco salad bowl, since the taco bowl part gets soggy from the salad and the salad is only ok. It just looks better than it is. I’ll definitely be going back for the crunch wrap

Decided to try this new chipotle wannabe right across from chipotle on Austin. Now I really really wanted to like this place as an alternative to the myriad of Mexican American spots in the area. Food looked ok but the place is small and kinda lacked any ambience. Borderline depressing. The young guy serving me looked new and was very enthusiastic. That’s about it. Got the honey chipotle and the usual sides. Few reviewers claimed “huge portions” “can feed 2”. Well, my bowl got barely 75%full. Even chipotle I usually get 95% of bowl filled. Cheap with the meat. On par w chipotle. To top it off. Prices much higher than chipotle, a 75% full bowl came out to $18, ouch. I mentioned to the guy my bowl looked small and he just looked at me like I was crazy. It was 9pm, close to closing and they had a bunch of meat left, like a lot. What, are they hoarding it so they can bring to home? Or, throw it in trash? Woulda been great for future business to fill my bowl w the abundance of meat they had instead of letting it go to waste. Instead of trying to get a new customer, they just lost one.
After tasting the food, it was ok. Nothing great, nothing horrible. Kinda on par w other places. But the premium price and chintzy portion, I’ll be looking elsewhere.

Started out very well and didn’t think the food was bad till they started blatantly cheating on the size. You are supposed to get two burritos as BOGO not one burrito split in two places. And what’s the point of hoarding the Chipotle Sauce and not putting enough. Guac time puts enough sauce on the burrito

Stopped by today as I was in the area and I’m so glad I did. I had the bowl and had all the fixings. Delicious….is an understatement. Food was fresh, the server was pleasant and accommodating. Got food quickly and decided to sit in. The place is a bit small but the type of service I got made this the last of my worries. Thank you and I wish you and your business much success.
BTW the steak was delicious as well as the mango sauce. Yum yum!!!!

I came here two days in a row because I really enjoyed the food. The food is fresh and there are healthy options. (Definitely prefer this spot over chipotle). Prices are very reasonable, especially for the huge portions. One bowl can easily be two meals.
The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The first day I came, I was sitting and waiting for my order, it was very sunny where I was sitting. The staff came by and asked if I wanted the blinds to be drawn in case the sun was bothering me. They are very attentive.
The second day I came, the bag I received the food in broke open from the bottom and my food fell and spilled. I called them and let them know and they asked if I could return to the store for a replacement. I was taken care of promptly when I returned and they apologized for the inconvenience. Wonderful customer service.

We also really wanted to like this place. The social media ads looked amazing and delicious. But we walked away disappointed and thinking we should have spent our $40 at Chipotle or Raising Canes.
1. Price. Same as chipotle. We paid $38 and change for 2 burritos. One had guac.
2. Taste. Not good. No flavor. The steak was tough and like rubber.
3. Portions. Great! Lots of steak. Lots of rice. This is where I feel they are true to their ads.
4. Staff. Very nice people working there.
I don’t like leaving bad reviews but I also know times are tough and when you spend your money, you want to make sure you are not wasting it. Maybe we ordered the wrong things? Maybe we should have added a flavorful sauce instead of just sour cream?
