Stopped for dinner as wifey loves tacos, we’ve never been, and it was nearby.
Overall, I was reminded of other burrito/taco chains that serve food in a similar style.
Ordered three hard shell tacos – chicken, barbacao, and steak. Of the 3 the chicken tasted the best. The other 2 were a little too salty. Also ordered chips and guacamole and they were pretty good.
Nothing special about the inside. It’s mainly bar style seating with high chairs and high tables along the wall.
The person who made our food was very friendly when we walked in. Asked if we had any questions as we looked over the menu.
Overall not bad. I would be interested in trying the other protein options to see how they are.

The vegetarian salad so good. I really enjoyed it a lot. Everything was fresh and tasted well seasoned . Luke was so nice and welcoming he made my salad just how I like it. Thanks so much for the chips and guac

The food here is very good and flavorful, everything is fresh and ready so you can get in and out if you’re on your lunch break. My only complaint is I don’t feel full on one scoop of meat, but I also don’t want to pay $20 on lunch after adding the guac with 2 scoops of meat.
On a side note I ordered online once, I got the surf and turf performance bowl and I added a scoop of chicken. So I should have had shrimp, steak and chicken in the bowl, I only received chicken. I emailed them back from the order email they sent me and they made it right, got refunded and they gifted me $10 gift card. GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE.

Edited: Shannon from Guac Shop reached out almost immediately after posting the review to rectify the situation. I appreciate Luke and Shannon for their speedy response. I’ve been coming to this store since opening even though I live on the same block as another similar restaurant. I probably won’t be ordering delivery again but will continue to order for pick up/take out.
I ordered on their website on Friday at 10:40am for delivery. The delivery time said 12:10pm, which makes no sense since the store is 10 minute drive away and it does not take hours to make burrito bowls.. I called and inquired. I was told that the food pick up time is 11am so I should be getting my order 11:30am latest. I was told that sometimes there is a glitch in their system that shows wrong delivery time to customers.
What time did the food come? 12pm lol.. what was the delivery guy doing for an hour? I waited for the food from 11:30am to 12pm in 10 degrees weather. It literally takes 10 minutes to drive local.. utterly disappointed that I couldn’t even eat my lunch because food was delivered after my lunch was over. The customer service rep only asked if it was delivered, no apologies, no reimbursement, no explanation. Very unreliable and disappointing. It would’ve been faster if I went to the store, opened it myself, made the food and brought it back to work.

I went to this location and asked if they have the $9.99 deal, which includes a “build your own bowl and any drink!”. They said yes and rang me up. When I started to get my drink from the refrigerator, they stopped me and said “you can only get drinks that are in a plastic bottle…the Jarritos drinks (in glass bottles) are not part of the deal.” I showed them the advertisement and pointed out that there was no exeptions listed for “any drink”. They told me that they make the rules and that they would not honor the advertisement. This is false advertising and at the very least “bait and switch”. I love their food, but they should have honored the deal. Especially since, I am a Jarritos soda fan. Very disappointing.

Food and quality control has definitely fallen off since NHP location opened!! Bowls not full, missed parts of orders, sloppy presentations!! Hit or miss.. most recent order.. bowl full.. 13 dollar quesadilla looking like an appetizer and sloppy! Believe I’m done

I just stopped by this Mexican grill spot and everything was absolutely amazing — the food was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The service was just as great, and the owner is a genuinely nice guy who really makes you feel welcome the moment you walk in.
