I finally found a great authentic Thai spot that serves Pad Thai with the perfect balance of tamarind sourness and flavor. My wife got the shrimp Pad Thai and it was seriously good.
I went with my go-to Thai comfort dish, Pad Kra Pao, and cranked it up to the highest spice level. (You can choose your protein and spice level right on their order screen, which is nice.) The dish had that real spicy, herbal, garlicky kick it’s supposed to have. I just wish they offered a ground pork version like the ones I usually get in Thailand.
Thai tea is always a must for me, and theirs comes in a cute little bottle too.

Haven’t had Khao Soi since my last trip back home to Thailand and I need to admit that Gu Thai did a really great job in making khao Soi. I wasn’t expect it to be this good cuz it’s kinda hard to find good khan Soi in the U.S. but it’s beyond! I also ordered their deep fried pork dumplings and it’s quite impressive, it go really well with the sweet chilli sauce! Overall I’ll give solid 9/10, will be back for sure. Thanks to Gu Thai for a great Thai food while I missed my home.

This was probably the most authentic Thai Cuisine I’ve ever had in Atlanta. Today me and my couple of friends decided to stop by Gu Thai, and they did not disappoint us! I ordered Pad Se Ew which was amazing (you can always ask for some chili powder on the side for extra kick, which I really recommend). But my favorite was probably their Thai Ice Tea, super refreshing and tasted just like the one I had in Thailand when I went there a few years back. About the wait time during their busy hours they get quite pack, but still the service was not lacking at all. Will totally be back next time.

So good! Everything was great, but the standouts for us were the yu choy in a delicious sauce topped with fried garlic and the cute presentation and delicious taste of the Thai iced tea. I appreciate being able to get excellent food with the self-service model.

Stopped by Gu Thai over the weekend for lunch. The food was great and came out quickly. You order this on the screen, so there’s no service. I did enjoy the atmosphere and there’s plenty of parking. Try Gu Thai if you’re in the Duluth area.

Hate to leave such a negative review. BUT the absolute worst Thai food I have ever had in Atlanta. I ordered three dishes. They all taste the same. It’s more Chinese sauce based than Thai. I definitely will not be back.
Added to reply:
Actually I was very specific. I said the sauce of the pad see ew and the drunken noodles tasted exactly the same and it was extremely sour. It didn’t even taste like pad see ew and drunken noodles. You offered us a refund, and we felt bad so we refused the refund and told you it was okay, but we would not return.
I’m a regular customer at Nahm Thai, Nam Thai, and Norcross Thai. I NEVER had an issue with their food.

Gu Thai Restaurant is truly a gem. The food was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully cooked, everything tasted authentic, and the portions were generous.
I also have to give a special shoutout to Note, the manager!!!!!
Note is such an amazing person, so kind, welcoming, and attentive. You can tell he genuinely cares about every guest’s experience, and he made us feel taken care of from the moment we walked in.
Highly recommend Gu Thai if you want delicious Thai food and top-tier hospitality. We’ll definitely be back!

The food was very good, some items on the menu were a lil pricey but i enjoyed it. You self order your food and they call you to pick up at the counter.

The atmosphere is very very nice! It gives off coffee shop/cafe vibes. They have music playing but it’s not too loud or overbearing. I like that they have the kiosk to order your food and then you can just pick it up when it’s ready. Very easy and convenient. We ordered appetizers: Fried tofu 6/10 it had no flavor but the texture was nice. The sauce made it better. Crab ragoons 10/10. Curry Puff Chicken 10/10 the pastry was so soft and flaky and the meat had really good flavor. Takoyaki 6/10 it was a little too fishy for me and it needed a sauce. I loved the Thai tea! It came in a cute bottle. Overall it was a great place to try and I will definitely be back!

This is my third time here and I would highly recommend giving it a try! I read some negative reviews when they first opened and I didn’t go until my friend insisted. I’m so glad I ended up going because my experience with Gu Thai has been nothing but positive. The food is tasty, the staff is so friendly, and it has a clean interior. If you’re on the fence based on mixed reviews, I say just try it for yourself at least once. I’m glad I finally have a Thai spot so close to home!
