Had dinner at G’s Slow Smoked BBQ tonight with a group of about 10 people, and wow… the food was AMAZING. Between all of us, we pretty much tried everything on the menu — brisket, ribs, pulled pork, turkey, everything but the catfish, and just about every side they offer.
The brisket was insanely tender and full of smoky flavor, the ribs literally fell off the bone, and even the turkey was packed with flavor (that cranberry chutney on the turkey sandwich is a game-changer).
The street corn deserves a special shoutout — smoked corn topped with cheese and a pecan rub. Absolutely INCREDIBLE. And the deviled eggs? Easily some of the best I’ve ever had, topped with crunchy pork rinds and that same pecan rub.
The sides were just as good — mac and cheese, sweet potato tots, collards, baked beans… there wasn’t a single thing we didn’t love.
And a super cool touch — their to-go cobblers come in mason jars! Such a fun idea, and they tasted just as good as they looked.

Best BBQ I’ve ever had! The owner Gary came out and talked with us like we were old time friends. The simple old time atmosphere gave it charm. We will definitely be back!

Awesome little place. Wonderful aroma and atmosphere. Had generous pulled pork sandwich with two sides and drink for ten bucks. And they served it up quick and hot. Will definitely be back.

I’m from Kansas City the BBQ mecca. So, I’m very picky about my BBQ. This guys BBQ is on POINT! Burnt ends are excellent! Brisket is perfect! I just wish he was open on the weekends

Best BBQ in the SE. “G” Ribs are great and the brisket will spoil you appetite for any other meat. The banana “pudden” is a great way to end.

The absolute best. We have tried a few places but this one is it for us. We wont be going anywhere else but G’s, it’s delicious. And the staff is great. Very friendly and welcoming.
