Second time stopping in with friends. First visit, tried the Grumpster sandwich and it was pretty decent. I also had the gator bites, tasty with the dipping sauce. Still the meal was just ok.
Second time I figured I’d try the pulled pork since they’re known for BBQ, but it was disappointing. The pork was watery and had no flavor. I tried adding their sauces, but it didn’t help much. For a place known for BBQ, I expected better and wouldn’t recommend the pulled pork.
That said, the atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, and my friends enjoyed their meals. I tried a bit of the brisket and that seemed okay.

Everything was delicious. The sandwiches had a lot of meat. The ribs were cooked very well, the chicken was juicy and fell off the bone easily.
I will recommend Grumpy’s Bar-B-Que Roadhouse to all my friends and family.

Grumpy’s Bar-B-Que Roadhouse is a great BBQ spot! I had the brisket, and it was absolutely delicious—tender and full of smoky flavor. The place had nice Halloween decorations that added a fun seasonal touch. Great food, great atmosphere—definitely worth a visit!

Hello ,I was there with my family on Feb. 20th 2026 i called ahead 4 hours to let them know it was a party of 12 . I also told them 2 weeks ahead and the hostess told me she would put it on the calender.our server was Jessica at table 16 my check number is 41 . We were served in a basically timely manner ,but my sisters meal did not come out. We waited and waited and the server didnt even realize a meal was missing . She didnt check the table for a long time and we had to go ask for the meal. She seemed to be trying her best but she was being double and triple sat the whole time . She was serving the entire room by herself and obviously stressed. I do love the food and the atmosphere and normally I go in early afternoon and everyone is so very nice . I wanted to treat my family with this wonderful find.i have been a server in the past for many years and I know how difficult it can be. Either your short help ,or the server decided she could run the room on her own. I normally tip 30 percent sometimes more but not this time . If I had to rate the server I would give a 2 out of 10 sadly. Im not even sure whose fault it is. I will come back and I still think highly of this establishment but I will never bring my crowd here again. I hope this problem gets fixed in the future for other big parties. This place is so very good. Thank you to the kitchen who always does a wonderful job
Have a nice day.

I was in work for the day and have been craving delicious bbq, Grumpy’s came up on Google so I decided to give it a try. I got ribs, brisket, and chicken. Everything was warm and delicious, even after being heated up 6 hours later for dinner. Highly recommend and will be a return customer.

Located in a wonderful 1800s era building this roadhouse is definitely worth stopping by. They are located near Lehigh valley sporting clays and so many other wonderful places to come visit in Lehigh valley. I had to burn ends brisket which I thought were fantastic still juicy not burnt till they are hard like some places. I tried fried alligator for the first time it was fantastic as well. While there are a few things that I would change if it was up to me I thought the barbecue sauce was a little bit on the sweet side for my taste, so if you don’t like a very sweet sauce try to get your foods dry. The baked beans definitely did not come from a can and the applesauce had huge chunks of apples in it which I like. The staff was super friendly and it didn’t take long to get a table. I saw two negative reviews in here and I those people must have some sort of mental condition or they were absolutely rude and jerks to the staff to be treated the way they were.

How is this 4.5 stars? S-Tier Fries, F-Tier BBQ.
I’m genuinely astonished by the 4.5-star rating and have no clue how it was achieved. We went in with high expectations and left incredibly disappointed. This was, without a doubt, one of the worst restaurant meals we’ve had in memory.
The core issue was that everything was overcooked, dry, and completely flavorless. The alligator bites were dry and chewy. The ribs? Dry. But the most baffling failure was the brisket and the pulled pork. My partner and I were left asking, “How do you make the two fattiest cuts of meat a choking hazard?” It takes a special kind of talent to make brisket and pulled pork this dry. There was no smoke, no flavor, and no good BBQ sauce to save any of it.
The sides were just as weak. The coleslaw was just bland cabbage—no vinegar, no salt, no sugar, nothing. The absolute best thing anyone at our table got was my son’s order of french fries. Honestly, they were S-tier, which says a lot when you’re at a supposed BBQ joint.
Even the cocktail I ordered was only “okay” because I had to redesign a seasonal drink on their menu. The server literally said, “Oh, that sounds so much better than our version.” It’s a bad sign when you have to pay to be the bartender for your own table.
To top it all off, the bill for two adults and a 6-year-old was $100. For that price, serving a meal this unacceptable is a joke. I have no idea how this place has 4.5 stars, but based on our experience, it’s a 1-star meal at a 5-star price. We will not be back.

The food was so good. Everything we ordered was delicious. We had ribs, chicken, onion rings and gumbo. The sides were great! Especially the Brussels sprouts. We will definitely be back again.

This is not just a restaurant, this is an institution no doubt about that. Grumpy’s has been around a long time personally we use them for our wedding 17 years ago. It was the first place I took my wife on a date because they always had such amazing food. I am thrilled to say if they are just as good as they have ever been and you will never find better food anywhere in this region!!! If you like pulled pork ribs wings and smoked meats jambalaya etc. they offer not just incredible consistency and quality put more affordable than any restaurant I can think of. Grumpy’s has definitely been doing something right for a long long time. They even offer live entertainment which is just icing on the cake. I promise you will NOT be disappointed!!!
