Had an amazing experience eating at Grumpy’s this week! I was craving a roast beef po boy and it was perfect after a long day. The meat was tender and the bread was super fluffy! Alongside that, the front of house staff was very kind and I had great conversation with the waitress. Even the chef greeted me when she put my food in the window, and I felt like that was so kind to acknowledge me when she was busy at work! I’ll definitely be coming back, next time for the all you can eat catfish night on Wednesday! I’m super excited I found such a warm and inviting, home-style comfort restaurant near me, I’ve been looking for a new favorite place and Grumpy’s is it. 10/10 recommend 🙂

On to the review

We stopped here 2 years ago … Still technically on the way home but we decided to take a detour because we never saw New Orleans so here we are

This place is absolutely amazing … I love the way it’s set up … They have a 100 health rating as well … The food is delicious with a capital D … Clean inside and outside … The employees here are super awesome sauce also … The whole atmosphere is so welcoming

Highly recommend

Restaurant is nothing fancy but those are usually the best places. They’re rebuilding after Ida and have limited hours and menu. This is the first time ordering. Great food at a great price! We’ll definitely be back!

This is a cute little neighborhood place with a 1950s rock ‘n’ roll vibe. The menu is pretty standard for the area – poboys, burgers, fish baskets etc.. Our waitress was smiley, friendly and efficient, but the cook needs to find a new career: It was a light, lunchtime crowd so there was absolutely no excuse to take a full hour to serve two manager’s specials (breaded chicken in a bun, with fries). By the end of the hour, our waitress was cringing with embarrassment. The food was ok, but not worth waiting an hour to eat. We won’t be back.

Very friendly staff, freshly prepared and great tasting food, all packaged in an old school diner atmosphere. What else would you want? Decent prices? They have them too. Best poboy I’ve ever had. Fantastic fried okra. One of the best meals I’ve had in Louisiana
