Not being from the area I was looking for recommendations for place to visit while in town and there wasn’t a single person that didn’t mention Grumpy’s. Brenda at the downstairs bar was amazing and the atmosphere upstairs with the dance floor was just as great. The recommendations were definitely justified.

We went here after a bad life situation happened. We played pool, darts, and water pong. Karaoke was fun, but slightly depressing except fir the guy who walked around during his turn singing Frank Sinatra, sounded like him, “performed” like him, and made the bar lively. I don’t sing in front of people, but myan made me challenge myself. Everyone in the bar could tell I was nervous and supported me for confidence. Great atmosphere. Had an issue at a different bar where I was drugged, but the tenders here make absolutely sure not to let that happen. And if it does (which is super rare), then they properly handle the situation as safely and respectfully (to the victim) as possible.

It is a great place to get a good meal play some pool or darts have a few drinks do some dancing or if you just won’t to relax and listen to some music and they have carioki but you are not allowed to sing if they don’t have the song no matter how weal you know the song but still over all good place to meet new people.

From out of town on a long drive, looking for a bar to unwind for the evening and this bar delivered 100%. Forget any other review you see. Bar tender was very pleasant. Locals were friendly. Atmosphere was was exactly the kind of low key watering hole I was looking for to end the evening. Decent hotel a couple of min away. Grumpy’s is the weary travelers dive bar that might just make your night ok. Clean, good priced, calm. Will most definitely come back.
