First time here. We loved it. My steak was a little to red for me. But they fixed it. I realize probably a lot of people don’t order their steak very well done, I always tell the waitress when there is smoke coming out of the kitchen my steak is done!!!

It’s not the worst, but not the best BBQ. I’ve been to 98% of the BBQ restaurants in Arizona. Brisket and Mac & Chesse weren’t good at all. Shredded chicken and pork are ok’ish. Corn bread was ok. Pot roast wasn’t good. The mash potatoes were ok. The salad was good. My suggestion to the new owners is to go to some bbq places outside Showlow, like in Mesa and Phoenix, to get a real idea of what bbq really should be. We went off of Google reviews. After going through the reviews, they seem to be 2 or 3 years old, which had better reviews. Best of luck, but unfortunately, we won’t be back.

Great food and service. We sat outside during the day and it was so nice. Server was quick to get us drinks, checked up on us, and got our order in quick and our food out just as quickly. Had the pulled pork sandwich with chips and it was so delicious and filling. Kids loved their food and hubby really enjoyed his baby back ribs & brisket! Definitely will come again anytime we are back in town visiting.

This was our first visit. I got enough for 5 adults and one child. Everyone wanted something different and we were not disappointed. Everything was so good and the service was amazing. The ladies double checked our order to make sure everything was there. The meat was smoked just right and the ribs just fell off the bone. The brisket was so tender you could cut it with a spoon. The whole family is happy and over stuffed. There’s even enough for another meal. Will I tell everybody. In a heartbeat. My first favorite restaurant in the area. I’ll be back and my niece from 29 Palms will be returning there when she gets a chance to come back to AZ. This experience was mouth watering.

We went for dinner tonight. We usually get bbq…brisket, pork, chicken…and have always been very satisfied. Decided to try the fish tonight….big mistake! I ordered onion rings instead of fries. They were literally dripping grease, inedible. The fish was not much better….and it tasted like old grease to boot! Such a disappointment. If you like grease, this is your place. If not, stick to the bbq.

Ordered family feast. Came out promptly, but the chicken and ribs looked and tasted like the had been cooked days before and microwaved to warm them back up. Pulled pork was good

We went despite the reviews hopeful for a decent meal…. Was like the kinda food you get in a cafeteria…. Flavorless and gross to be honest. All the meat had absolutely no flavor, like it was boiled. And the Mac and cheese was just terrible worse than box Mac and cheese. They could do way better.

My Grumpy’s very first time. Been on the mountain for about 40 yarns. Don’t know when it was established, but have seen WHT Mountain Rd that many years. Man it was GREAT! Had some Alaskan COD and wife had an excellent chicken salad. Perfect fish . Service was very good. Costs are cost, this way all restaurants have risen higher. Music was a bit too loud, but we sit right next to it. Our fault.

this food was not bbq the ribs were cooked in the oven you can taste real bbq the sides were awful the potato salad was store bought the baked beans were just pinto beans with a splash of watered down bbq sauce the shredded pork and chicken were tasteless! If your craving BBQ this is not the place to go sorry for two people it was over 80 bucks

Had the pulled pork sandwich with french fries. I thought this was a real Bar-B-Q restaurant, but there was zero smokiness or char on the pork! It tasted just like it came from a slow cooker. Fries were “made from scratch” Soggy, limp and full of oil. I would have preferred they cook up some crispy frozen wedge fries. Bar-B-Q sauce was the only thing that tasted like it belonged with this meal
