I tried the Gyro burger (you can only see it online! Make sure you check their online menu out)
It was one of the best burgers I’ve ever had in my life. The meat was tender, flavorful then with the tzatziki sauce, feta cheese, tomato, lettuce, and chopped up red onion! Chefs kiss 🙂 they did awesome!
Sidenote, the burger looked amazing with a fluffy bun . I just squished it down so I could fit it in my mouth because it was so big

Thoroughly enjoyed lunch at GR’s. We had the chili dog, shawarma wrap (great recommendation!) and of course cheese curds. Everything was delicious. It’s counter service and they bring the food to you. Tables inside and a few outside. Next time we will top it off with ice cream or a cookie!

My wife & I visited this small locally-owned shop for a weekend lunch, located in a retail strip off the beaten path in eastern Janesville. The two young ladies taking counter orders and attending to tables & booths were very friendly and attentive. Menu variety is large (standard & posted specials). Meals are made fresh-to-order, so there was about an approx. 10-minute wait before we were served. Our sandwiches & soup & sides were generous in portions, high quality & very tasty ingredients, with enough food left over for dinner later that day. The interior dining space was clean & bright, interestingly decorated & comfortable. We would definitely recommend GR’s for sandwiches superior to the national chain stores’ competition, and we’d return for another meal if we revisited Janesville.

I was in Janesville for work and decided to stop by GR’s Sandwich Shop for lunch—so glad I did! The gyro was packed with flavor, and the chili was hearty and delicious. You can tell they take pride in keeping the place spotless; everything was very clean and welcoming. Great spot for a quick, quality meal. I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in town…

Stopped here on our way to Chicago and were so glad we did. We had a selection of paninis — chicken pesto, chicken Swiss bacon, and Italian beef — and every one was delicious. Fresh ingredients, great flavor, and clearly made with care. The service was friendly and efficient, and the restaurant itself was clean, bright, and welcoming. A perfect stop for a satisfying meal — we’d happily come back.

Ok…I don’t write many reviews BUT I had to make it for this place!! This was the first time I have ever been here and I will DEFINITELY BE COMING BACK!!
OMG I LOVE their Gyros and Waffle fries that come with the order!! I chose to get a Caesar salad for an additional side…ITS HUGE!!! LOL Dinner was SO delicious and I am MORE than satisfied!!
The location is in a cozy area and the young lady who took my order and brought my food to me was so nice and sweet!! I really dig this place!! Can’t wait to go back and get another Gyro and maybe something new!! The only gripe…I should have ordered more waffle fries!! LOL

This a super good sandwich/wrap/burger spot. The quality of the ingredients was amazing. We got the BLT and it exceeded our expectations. Beautiful red tomatoes in early May! The garlic sauce was delicious. They have some great healthy options. A great stop for the weary and hungry traveler.

Food appetizing. Appealing daily specials. Friendly service. Casual sandwich shop atmosphere with tables, two booths, and outside seating. Line moves fast. Water available self serve. Ordered gyros and panini – both were good. Gyro had nice amount of meat, bland sauce. Sized up fries and still a very small amount, so think it was same as small. Child friendly.

I was so hungry I forgot to take pictures of my food! I had a gyro with waffle fries. I also had an iced raspberry Chai latte.It was all very good. Just what I expect when I want a gyro. Wait staff are super nice & it’s a cute shop. Clean. A definite go to for sandwiches & such.
