We had the most lovely Thanksgiving dinner here last night. It was a great value at $65/person for a three course meal. The butternut squash soup was rich and creamy with a beautiful swirl of crème friache. The entree was a roulade of white and dark meat turkey smothered in a sage- scented gravy, soft and buttery roasted Brussels sprouts, a herbaceous stuffing that was soft but not mushy and a sparkling cranberry accent that brought just the right touch of acid to an otherwise rich plate. The dessert was amazing ! Lucious ice cream, a pumpkin cheese cake tower with crispy sweet pastry. We had a cocktail, Maker’s Mark Manhattan, that was expertly prepared. It was 100% on point in preparation and taste with two preserved cherries. One of the best I’ve ever had and this is my normal drink order. Service was attentive but not intrusive and we were seated promptly at our reservation time. If I had one complaint, one must walk through the smoky casino to get to this lovely oasis of calm and elegance in the Viejas casino. Reservations are a must.

The waiter and all the staff were phenomenal. The food was amazing! We had the New York Steak and petite fillet mignon and lobster tail-all was cooked to perfection. The chocolate cake was beyond delicious.

For a place that charges $50-$85 for a steak, I’d expect better quality food and service and for them to also make our steak correctly. My father-in-law ordered his steak medium, and it came out well done. We waited an hour for 2 entrees, 2 appetizers and a salad so we really didn’t want to wait even longer for them to remake the steak, so he just ate it anyway.
I ordered steamed clams and there was barely any meat, and whatever meat there was, was so tiny. I could fit 3 pieces of clams on a fork. It was basically $22 for shells and broth. I complained to the manager twice. The 2nd time, he asked what I wanted him to do about it and I said take it off my bill. He reluctantly did so.
When we were ready to go, we couldn’t find our waiter. We went to the host and asked if we could get our check and she said we had to wait for our waiter to bring it. It took over 20 mins to pay our bill and leave.

If you haven’t been to the new Grove Steakhouse, you need to! Aside from being the best value in SoCal, it’s the most amazing food to be found. It’s true that the high ceilings make it much more spacious feeling and some would say a bit less intimate, but it is also not nearly as loud as the old location which the makes it more intimate as far as I’m concerned. The fireplaces really add to the ambiance and they have room for large parties now. The best addition is the weekend brunch from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Amazing! There isn’t a bad option on the menu. Smoked salmon bagel with a twist or crab benedict or steak and eggs…you can’t go wrong with the food. The bartenders (shout out to Kendall and Drew!) Margaritas, long islands, martinis, etc. are all super delicious and very reasonably priced. The servers and waitstaff (Joseph, Chuy, Anthony, and Alex) and all top shelf. Rafael, don’t ever stop doing what you do! You run a tight ship, and your aim for perfection shows. Thank you all for showing up every day and showcasing your skills!

Absolutely THE BEST steakhouse I’ve ever been to, better than Syquan! Food was delish! Service was top notch and OMG – the breads and flavored butter absolutely to die for!!! very, very special place here, Viejas you really hit the mark with this place! Such awesome attention to details, giving palate cleansers, truffles at end of meal, ect, ect, ect !!!! Cece was our waitress and she is probably the best server I’ve ever experienced! Will be back FOR SURE!!!! LOVE, LOVE , ❤️ ❣️ ❤️

Hit and miss ,, had a great meal there 1st time 2nd time I was asked to leave for complaining about the calamari ,, I did accidentally break the bottom of the stemware cause Im heavy handed,, they jumped to conclusion and had me and my guest escorted off the property and said I was banned for 30 days. Honestly was so disappointed how they handled it and they made a situation out of nothing. The last weekend I was there we had a nice calamari appetizer enough for 3 people and we had Amazing buffalo ribeye steaks . The following week when the so called incident happened the calamari came out with 6 small pieces hence why I complained. Felt like We were treated very poorly.

The Grove steakhouse recently relocated within the casino, now occupying the space where the old buffet used to be. Unfortunately, this new location lacks the romantic and intimate atmosphere it once had. The large, open space feels more like a repurposed buffet area rather than a high-end steakhouse.
While the food remains impressive, the move to a less intimate location lacks the ambiance one would expect for the price, making it a less appealing option despite the good food and service.

We hosted 6 of our dear friends to help celebrate my husband’s birthday. We had a private room and it was very nice. Food prepared perfectly, wide selections. We even participated in a tasting test for new Chef’s items to be included on the menu. Service from Toni was impeccable. Such an enjoyable evening.
