When I arrived (around 4PM on a Sunday in January), the place was quiet; both the bar and cabana area were nearly empty, with only one other table of guests outside. The staff were incredibly friendly, and bonus points: the restroom was very nice.

The rooftop setup includes an indoor bar area with seating and an outdoor cabana space with poolside seating (no glass allowed in this area). As for the view: you don’t get much skyline unless you’re seated right at the edge of the rooftop, but the atmosphere makes up for it. The combination of the pool and surrounding high-rise buildings gives it this cool industrial-meets-tropical vibe. The street view below, however, is pretty unremarkable. Finding the bar is easy as it’s listed on the elevator directory. When you get off the elevator, turn right and keep walking, and you’ll run right into Group Therapy.

What I Ordered
Crispy Brussels Sprouts — $12
Runaway Mocktail — $15
Both were delicious. The Brussels sprouts came in a massive portion and were super flavorful. The mocktail was bright and refreshing without being too sweet.

I went in on Valentine’s Day to treat myself and was blown away! Though they were extremely busy, the food came out just perfect and in a timely manner. The environment was perfect with low lighting and slightly upbeat but soft music. The food was fine dining quality, and the cocktails were artfully mixed. I can’t speak highly enough about this spot and its fabulous staff!

Amazing and flavorful food, nice ambiance, and great service! My friends and I came for brunch while visiting Austin. We sat on the patio, and it was perfect! Paola was our server, and she was great! Other staff members we interacted with were nice too. We got the French toast, avocado toast, superfoods bowl. And the fried avocado salad. Everyone loved their food. I got the fried avocado salad, and I have to tell y’all – it was DELICIOUS!! Loved the flavor and spicy kick. We all loved the experience and highly recommend!!

Loved Dee. Super funny and very attentive. She gave a “real” vibe which I appreciated considering I was taking up on of her tables working for 3 hours – overall, loved her. Food was great- vanilla latte was perfection and the green pomegranate tea was Devine.

This restaurant is located on the 7th floor of the Hotel Zaza. They have complementary valet for the first 2 hours which made it very easy to get to the restaurant.

Our waitress was very attentive and responsive during the meal. We ordered scallops, which were fair, although I would probably not order it again. I ordered the 8 Oz filet, rare, which was more medium rare when it came out, but it was still very good.

The highlights were that they had 3 different mocktail options. I ordered the Runaway which was very good. I may go back simply to try their other mocktails. The dessert experience was also notable. We ordered their ooey gooey peanut butter cookie, which they were out of. Instead they offered us two desserts, espresso flan and bread pudding, on the house. Later they actually brought out the peanut butter dessert as they had been able to make one for us, which made for quite a lot of dessert for 2 people, but it was delicious and a stand out. The espresso flan was fair, and the bread pudding was good.

The atmosphere was nice, based off a library vibe. It was a little too dark, and we couldn’t quite understand why the restaurant was named group therapy. Overall, I would likely return if I was in the neighborhood or staying at the hotel, but would not go out of my way to dine again as it is moderately pricey.

First time coming here with my BFF, and we had such a great experience. We started at the bar with Jasmine and later moved outside with Monique both were amazing servers who took such great care of us the entire time. The drinks and food were so good. We’ll definitely be coming back from now on! Everything about this place is so cute!

This place is on the 7th floor of a fancy hotel downtown, all the staff were so friendly and welcoming. We were asked by several people if we needed some assistance. The server was also super friendly and put up with all our nonsense all night. We ordered LOT of cocktails . The food was super tasty. The lamb lollipops had this great mint pesto that paired really nicely. The poke bowl was good as well, I wish it was just ahi and rice but all tasted good. The star of the show was definitely the braised short ribs ‍ we couldn’t get enough. I highly recommend this place, super good for large groups too!

Group Therapy is such a fun spot for casual dining with a lively atmosphere. We loved sitting near the pool area and taking in the city views. The menu has something for everyone, and it’s perfect for brunch, lunch, or evening drinks.

I normally don’t leave bad reviews, but I just left this place after what was supposed to be a celebratory dinner, and I’m genuinely disappointed.

To start, my fiancé and I were impressed by the art, the ambiance, and the attention to detail in the lounge — the vibes were great. But as soon as we looked at the menu, we were shocked at how limited the dinner options were. The cocktail list looked promising, so we both ordered espresso martinis… and they were honestly the saddest excuse for an espresso martini I’ve ever had. They tasted like chocolate milk with alcohol. I sent mine back and asked for a glass of champagne instead.

At that point, we knew we’d just order an app and leave because we were starving. The Brussels sprouts were decent, but they were clearly paired with Hidden Valley ranch, which felt out of place.

What really sealed it was the bill. We were shocked to see $76 for Brussels sprouts, a sub-par espresso martini, and—apparently—the most expensive glass of champagne on the menu. I didn’t ask for Moët. Every other champagne by the glass was under $20, yet the waitress automatically assumed I wanted a $40 glass…? Absolutely not.

Gorgeous restaurant, but the service, food, and drinks were a major letdown

I had an absolutely fantastic birthday celebration with friends at Group Therapy! The atmosphere and aesthetic were vibrant and inviting, creating the perfect backdrop for a memorable evening. The food and drinks were simply delicious, and I truly appreciated how accommodating the staff were with my dietary restrictions. Their attention to detail and exceptional service made my birthday feel extra special. I highly recommend Group Therapy for anyone looking to celebrate in style!
