I stopped by Grounds while visiting New London and had a great experience. This small-town coffee cafe has a warm, inviting atmosphere with a nice seating area—perfect for reading, working on a laptop, or just relaxing with a cup of coffee.
The coffee is excellent! Whether you’re in the mood for a rich espresso, a smooth latte, or a refreshing iced coffee, they’ve got you covered. They also offer a great selection of baked goods—muffins, pastries, and more—to pair with your drink.
The two ladies behind the counter were incredibly friendly, adding to the welcoming vibe of the place. Overall, it’s a great spot to start your day or take a break. I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in New London!

30 Dollars for two coffees and 2 stale bagels with a quarter teaspoon of cream cheese on them. If you want a normal amount of cream cheese they will charge you a few extra dollars. It is absolutely insane they have the audacity to charge for “extra” cream cheese. One small cup of cream cheese from Dunkin’ Donuts (which is very tiny) is more than what they give you here even when you ask for extra. They also enjoy printing out these reviews and putting them on the wall. Weird flex, but your food, coffee and service still sucks. Take your business elsewhere.

Love this café! Truly a very nice place to stop for coffee or a sweet baked treat!
Teddi is a very pleasant person, and she always remembers her customer’s names.
11/10 would go again and again.

Great little bakery with lots of goodies. They have lots of different drink combinations both hot and cold, and a large variety of baked goods. Also all throughout the bakery there are local goods for sale such as artwork, handmade cards, earrings, etc. Prices very reasonable. Will go there any chance I get!

Great ☕️ coffee!! I loved my hot chocolate. Just the perfect amount of heat, very rich and decadent. We also tried a lavender ice coffee. Very nice smooth lavender finish . Nice location for this coffee ofcmain street near the center of town . The coffee shop is welcoming and has a cozy and warm atmosphere. Plenty of room to sit down and enjoy your cup of deliciousness

I ordered a 24-oz decaf iced latte, and my drink was pure milk, and you could taste no espresso or the maple syrup I was charged extra for. It was so pale and only got a hint stronger when the coffee ice cubes started to melt. I also ordered the gluten-free maple walnut muffin, and it must have been a few days old because it was so dense and dry, and was loaded with walnuts and little to no actual muffin. I also ordered the gluten-free spinach and feta handheld pastry, and that was also incredibly dull and dry. All of this for $20! With a 4.7 rating, I was hopeful that it would have been a good experience, but unfortunately, that was not the case. I would not recommend going here.

It took exactly 23 minutes from when my order for 4 plain bagels to go was printed on the receipt to when it was delivered to me. It took almost longer to make the receipt describing 4 individual bagels than it would have taken to just have the cashier pull them! They made we wait behind every prepared order in front of me, which I felt is poor service.

Grounds Coffee Shop is the ultimate morning pick-me-up paradise! My taste buds did a happy dance as I savored a lip-smacking latte paired with the zingy peach ginger bar. But that’s not all, my wife indulged in a scrumptious chocolate chip muffin while sipping on a delightful Chai latte.

The flavors were out-of-this-world amazing! And let’s talk about the staff – they’re like the caffeine of friendliness, giving our 8 am visit a cheery start. The atmosphere? Perfecto!

If you’re on a quest for the best brews and bites in town, Grounds Coffee Shop is your treasure map! ☕

Absolutely love the sweet treats. The vegan fruit bars are delicious! & continue to be so. Also enjoyed the oversized pumpkin chocolate chip muffin. A previous visit I moaned over the maple blondie bar Had a rasberry brownie recently that was fudgy with chocolate candy-like icing Most recently enjoyed a very moist Raspberry muffin. Love the expresso. Assorted fun gifts from local artists are available.

The service would have been fine if she didn’t sell me a donut that had to be at least a week old. It was hard as a rock. They obviously don’t pay attention to their product and don’t make things fresh. Spent 26 bucks on two coffees a donut and a cinnamon roll and coffee roll. All pretty much stale but nothing like the donut as you can see.
