I have been so excited to check this place out and I finally got to today. It did not disappoint, the hummus and veggie sandwich was amazing, I love the fresh peppers. We tried both of the pastas and they were AMAZING, the Thai was my favorite because this woman must be doing some sort of voodoo magic on those cucumbers, it’s the best cucumber I’ve ever had. We also had the chocolate cake and it was the most decadent amazing cake ever. This is the type of food that makes eating vegan exciting. And ditto on all the other comments about the owner, she is such a beautiful, genuine, and kind soul, I could have talked to her for hours. Go support this woman owned business immediately, you won’t regret it!

This is some of the best plant based food I’ve had the pleasure of eating. It’s inside Church & State where you have an extremely comfortable sitting area and atmosphere. There is also a coffee shop next door to grab a variety of drinks.
This place is perfect to enjoy a quiet cozy lunch with a friend, colleague, or client. 10/10 would recommend.

The food was delicious, the atmosphere was fun, the service was great. Jamie took time to explain everything they had and answer questions. I only work downtown once a week but this is going to be my go to spot for a while for sure.

Grounded is such a welcome addition to SLC food scene nestled in the amazing building and event space that is Church & State. Jamie has made such a unique culinary experience in such a little space; the food is so flavorful and so fast! There are grab and go sandwiches, options for sides (fruit salad, pasta salad, etc.) warm food for brunch, and not only is everything vegan, everything is also reasonably priced. I can’t wait to go order something else – you don’t want to miss out.

The owner is the absolute best. A kind soul, and someone who makes you feel welcome and right at home as soon as you come in. The church and state building is an awesome place to hang out. Plenty of comfy seating, big open spaces, clean bathrooms, and yummy food from Grounded! I stock up on baked goods whenever I’m there.
100% vegan but don’t let that scare you away if you aren’t vegan! You won’t even be able to tell the difference with the bakery items.
Please support this small, local, and women-owned business and tell your friends about it!!!!

The biscuit and gravy were delicious. I liked the gravy better than any I’ve had in SLC, vegan or not. They threw in a peanut butter cookie with my brunch, too. I will definitely be back.
