I ordered a Shamrock Mocha, a bottle of water, and a Paris Brest. The Paris Brest was perfectly balanced — nutty, buttery, and pleasantly light without being overly sweet. I truly enjoyed it. The Shamrock Mocha was equally impressive: rich, smooth, and not excessively sweet.
The coffee shop itself was clean, well-organized, and thoughtfully arranged. The décor was simple yet elegant, creating a welcoming atmosphere. Even the restroom was well-maintained and fresh.
I highly recommend this coffee shop.

Coffee is delicious, every baked good or pastry I’ve eaten fantastic, and the atmosphere is always on point.
I think the biggest issue with this place is that its a victim of it’s own success. When business picks up it’s impossible to find a seat. It’s just a testament to their ability to bring in a crowd.

This is by far the most beautiful and delicious coffee shop in the DMV. Fresh and full of flavor pastries. The service is amazing. 100% recommended. You have to try the brisket chimichurri sandwich and the seasonal lattes!

Cute coffee spot with lots of options. I tried their seasonal iced choco pecan latte which was good. The space inside is nice and their menu had other food options as well I didn’t get to try. Parking is available in a small lot outside the shop, but it seems to fill up fast since there are other stores within the strip. While my drink was good, I didn’t feel it was amazing or anything worth coming back for. The employees were really friendly and my drink was made quick which was nice. Overall it does the job for my caffeine fix if I’m ever in the area.

Has a tv area for kids also has couches and games to give a relaxed feeling to the place the decorations are all around and they have a very nice feel. The staff is friendly and the food and coffee comes out quick. That being said the brownie that I got tasted off and I ended up just throwing it away. And the coffee I got tasted pretty much like water. They do have many other options and flavors but I had come for coffee and it doesn’t quite hit the mark for me.

I went to this coffee shop for the first time the day before yesterday and the service was impeccable I asked for a recommendation and got a fabulous one from the barista that took my order. The chicken BLT sandwich was huge and the layout of the coffee shop is very big well thought out no complaints.

Wow … I had delicious Croissants in Paris .. but today I had this amazing Croissant with ham and cheese, fresh from the oven in a beautiful presentation .. it was something else … also the variety of other options and desserts looked amazing. The coffee was delicious .. the staff super friendly, and they were busy busy .. that means something !!

This review pains me to write, as I wanted to like this place so badly. Unfortunately, the staff ruined what could have been an excellent breakfast experience. When asking a basic question about if a flavor was available, the barista was unable to utter a single word and affixed me with a withering stare. He then aggressively pointed at the menu as if the question was beneath him. Coupled with the condescending attitude and overall lack of passion, the drink I ordered was made incorrectly. After receiving a lecture about how the drink I ordered was perfectly made and how I was obviously born with an inferior palate, the barista begrudgingly remade my drink. This time the coffee was burnt, but I resigned myself to the fact that perhaps this place wasn’t for me.
On a positive note, the croissant I ordered was delicious, but overall not worth the condescension and demeaning attitude of the staff. I like to believe in the best of people, but sometimes they are determined to prove you wrong.

The Grounded is found off the beaten path of Alexandria and will require you to likely make a specific trip here if you don’t live in the general vicinity. Nevertheless, the trip will be well-worth the visit if you are coffee drinker, or more importantly, one who appreciates fine baked goods and sweet confections with their coffee.
Now, to be honest, I’ve been here twice and gotten a mocha and their standard cappuccino. The former was great and the latter was bit on the milky side and was unremarkable. I look forward to getting one of their regular coffees and I’ve heard their lattes are the best which is not my preference.
But, let’s talk about them sweets…the pumpkin bundt cake, the chocolate bundt are the best I’ve ever had….so moist and balanced with sweetness….much like that chain place but with a homemade mouth feel. The pumpkin cheese cake was perfection…again, balanced perfectly with pumpkin flavor and cheesecake texture. The chocolate bread puddingnwas my favorite…eaten the next day, I heated up for 30 secs in the microwave and added a touch of vanilla ice cream. I think for this item alone the trip here is worth it. If you are not a bread pudding fan, I believe this item could change your mind. At the writing of this review, I have not eaten my stuffed oreo cookie yet, see picture. I’ll have to come back and update. I recommend this establishment without reservation.
