This is a family friendly, and QUIET cafe. There’s an upstairs, and downstairs.

When you walk in the front door you are looking at a two ramps – one going up and the other going down the ramp, where you order your coffee and food (They only have food for LUNCH). I visited this place for the first time today, for a meeting with clients. It was a pleasant surprise to have such a peaceful and quiet location.

The owners were there, including two of their kids. The have a “secret play place” for their kids to go and I thought that was just too cool. I’m sure this isn’t available to the public so don’t expect your kids to be able to go in the secret room

The drink I got was great. It was the horchata, but I got it with a little less sugar. The owner lady was very kind and considerate when I asked her to of customize my order.

I really felt at home. I wouldn’t describe this place as classy or modern. It’s more of a old-soul style, home feel with wooden chairs and well-worn tables. The owners seemed very humble and polite.

I’ve been coming to this coffee shop since they first opened, and I’ve always really liked their food and drinks. The quality has stayed great over the years, even with changes in staff and ownership. It’s always been one of my favorite local spots!

That said, I’ve noticed that lately there always seems to be something that goes a little off with my orders. Nothing major, but small things that add up.

Today I decided to treat myself to lunch before my afternoon shift, and I ordered ahead using their app. It said my order would be ready in about 15 minutes, so I timed everything perfectly especially since I had my baby with me, who was napping in the car. I chose curbside pickup to make things easier and give him his nap.

Once I arrived and marked that I was there, I waited about 5 minutes and nobody came out. Since I still needed to get ready for work, I ended up having to wake my baby and go inside to check on my order. The barista downstairs told me there had been a big order before mine and that it wouldn’t be long, but she suggested I go upstairs and ask the kitchen myself. That part felt a bit frustrating I would’ve appreciated if they checked on it for me or just communicated a better estimate through the app.

When I went upstairs, the kitchen staff were kind and said my order was almost done, and it was about 12 minutes past the original pickup time. I understand big orders happen and delays can’t always be avoided, but a quick update or someone coming out to let me know would’ve made a big difference, especially since I was doing curbside for convenience.

Overall, I still really enjoy this place and will keep coming back because the food and drinks are always delicious. I just hope they can work on communication and accuracy with pickup times especially for parents like me who plan our whole outing around it!

I always enjoy coming here. They have a toasted maple coffee that I always get. The layout is unique and their decor is as well.

I wanted to try Grounded House Coffee this morning for the first time, but my experience was really disappointing. I waited about 10 minutes at the register with my three kids. Two young female employees saw us standing there but didn’t acknowledge us or say a word. We waited patiently as they stood together talking, with one cup of coffee between them, completely ignoring us.

We eventually walked over to look in the fridge, and two male customers came in. The same worker immediately went to assist them without hesitation or even greeting us. At that point, we decided to leave.

The lack of customer service was unacceptable. I won’t be returning, and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. Do better. I’d give zero stars if I could.

A wonderful underground coffee bar with a strong character located in the middle of nowhere in Indiana with extremely fast WIFI and hot rich fresh coffee!! This hidden venue is a hidden gem indeed! It’s spacious from the inside and has all kind of seating from couches to bar stools to regular table chairs.

I felt weird because I was asked by the owner and another guy there where I’m from and what I’m doing there!! Not sure if that was a friendly gesture or just curiosity because I definitely didn’t look local. It was so odd and unexpected! I never encountered such an experience before. Well, the good news I have been there twice and I haven’t been shot. So I guess it was a friendly gesture -most likely- anyways.

I enjoy having coffee here on the way to work at 7:00 am. It’s hidden on the main street in Ligonier, Indiana. It is a historic cute town of 4000 population, nicknamed city of murals, founded by a dude who came from Ligonier, PA. Historic murals in front of this coffee shop are beautiful and interesting.

Friendly staff, neat little basement where the coffee is at. (Get it? Basement? And “Grounded”!) They have an old piano upstairs which while missing some keys, actually was pretty close to tuned that I played

The food, service and atmosphere was really good at a reasonable price. The only issue we had was entering and leaving on quite a sharp incline. We just happen to have limited ability to handle that. There was a rail to help. Otherwise, this was a great place for a delicious sandwich.
