If you’re looking to get 50 cent wings do yourself a favor & Just head on over to logies, As packed as they get they will make sure you get your food in a timely manner & the service will be 1,000× better!. No matter how many times I have given this place a chance, it never fails service is so terrible. Servers make sure their friends get top priority which im sure is the reason they even have a 4.1 star review, its legit not even worth it. Not to mention you have to park way over by the water tower. If you’re not a college kid I can almost guarantee you will be waiting an hour in a half just to get your food.

I decided to stop by Ground Zero on a whim and really enjoyed the food! The salmon dish was cooked well, flavorful, and definitely the highlight of my time there.
Service was excellent and the atmosphere was relaxed, making it a good spot to grab a bite. I also enjoyed how they had multiple professional sport games playing, l was even able to catch my favorite team win! I will definitely be coming back again, especially for that salmon!

Stopped into Ground Zero on a chill Monday night and it was exactly the kind of low-key spot I was hoping for. The vibe was relaxed, not too loud, and it felt easy to just hang out and enjoy the night.
I ordered the stuffed chicken and it honestly hit the mark. It was flavorful, cooked well, and a really satisfying plate overall. Service was friendly and the whole experience felt comfortable and unpretentious.
If you’re looking for a laid-back bar/restaurant in Lubbock with good food and an easy atmosphere, Ground Zero is worth a visit. I’d go back.

I ordered the Chicken Alfredo, and it was very good. The food was affordable and served hot and fresh. Their lemonade stood out as well and was really refreshing. I really hate to leave this review because it’s terrible! My husband and I brought his high school girls basketball team to watch the Texas Tech women’s basketball team play on Sunday, November 16, 2025. We found your restaurant online and thought it sounded fun and different because we are not from Lubbock! When we got there there was no one else in the restaurant except two people at the bar. So we thought, great! we’ll have good service!
NOT the case at all! We were greeted immediately by a SWEET gal, but she promptly told us she was about to leave… The game was at 2 o’clock… And we went straight from the game to the restaurant… So this was about 430. The new server came and replaced the other girl that was leaving and was very very sweet and took our drink orders and then our food orders… Brought the drinks and then we didn’t even really see her again for almost 45 minutes .
When we started inquiring about our food… The bartender was extremely rude and just kept walking almost ignoring me, saying “your food is on its way out… “
She was right… An hour later, the food was on its way out… But it was all cold or lukewarm at the center. We had to get our own silverware and napkins… We had to ask again for refills… The food tasted OK… But again… It was cold! Two of us ended up having stomach distress after we left. One waking up in the night with diarrhea the other one had to throw up in the bathroom before she even left the restaurant!!!!
She did not tell me this until we were driving home, or I would have thrown a fit while we were there! No one said anything about the wait being so long or tried to make it right… In fact, they were the exact opposite and were rude…
Here’s the deal… They ended up telling us there was only one cook… That was after the hour wait, AND after we complained. This should have been brought to our attention while we were waiting. It was obvious that the food had been prepared and then just left to sit.
We all discussed how we would’ve been a lot more understanding if we had just been told what was going on… But like I said before… No one ever even came by to check on us or tell us that there was only one cook and that it might take a little bit longer… Offered us maybe some chips and salsa while we waited… Nothing!
It looks like after reading the reviews that there are other people that have had this similar experience within the past few months… It is a very cool looking place… So we were excited to see it and try it out! But our experience was to say the least “less than cool!“

Walked in late at night after checking in. I saw on google that they had salmon. When Kiera approached me to get my order she gave me the late menu. Which makes sense kind of late 10’pm. Only problem salmon wasn’t on late night menu. And I dont eat meat. … But instead of sending my meatless butt out the door, she asked the kitchen if they could make an exception since it wasn’t too busy and Garrett the manager said yes!! Intelligent girl and friendly. Thanks to them I got my salmon…
Try the salmon!! It’s not a small piece that’s been microwaved. It comes in sizzling skillet with delicious mashed potatoes and your sizzling asparagus as well! DELICIOUS!! By far the BEST I’ve had!! And I’m from El Paso!
Oh BTW… The Jalapeño ranch water is soo refreshing and spicy ️!! And ZERO calories?! Try it if you dare…

Ground Zero was amazing, but what really made the experience unforgettable was our server Paris. From the moment I sat down, she went above and beyond to make me feel welcome. She was so friendly, attentive, and really knew the menu, giving great recommendations that made the meal even better. The food was fantastic, but the way my server took care of me is what stood out most. It’s rare to come across service that feels so genuine and professional at the same time. I’ll definitely be back, not just for the great food, but because of how well we were treated. Big thanks to my server Paris.

After being in Lubbock for only 2 months, had to try this place which is across the highway from TTU stadium. I had the chicken fried steak (pictured), a marvelous dish with mashed potatoes and green beans. The steak was perfect and the whole sauteed beans had onion and bacon which was amazing.
