Cool local gem. Make reservations if you can because the bar is only 4 seats. High end food and experience and prices reflect that. Recommend

We have been eating here for years, so happy it’s close to where we stay! The specials are always good. It is expensive but a nice treat while on vacay. The steaks are always cooked to requested doneness, also like the shrimp pasta dishes. A hands down favorite is having the grilled prawns on a dinner caesar salad. We have brought so many friends with us over the years and they have all loved it, no one has ever gotten sick. You do need reservations, call way ahead of time. The owners are doing their best, it’s a small place and it is hard to find staff. We have always been treated well, I see in reviews some felt like staff dismissive or rude. I think they just get super busy! Give them a smile and kindness, it goes a long way, please give this little gem a break. I will definitely be making my reservations for this summer 2022! Here are some photos we’ve taken of our food over past couple summers. (No one has asked me to review and I am not personal friends with owners or staff, just like the place)

This place requires reservations. My fiance and I were pretty hungry from being on the road all day. We found this place and Katrina was kind enough to find a table for us for dinner. She provided exceptional customer service. The food was amazing and the vibes were chill. Definitely my new favorite place to come visit next time I’m in town. Definitely check this place out

Best food within 50 miles! Great selection of beer and wine, the owners have been doing this for a long time and have passion for having great service. & Great spot after fishing, not make a reservation unless you want to sit at the bar (holds 6 people, but usually busy)

We came off the west Fork of the Madison river, and saw this place. It was the only joint around and we didn’t have high expectations. We were fooled! The service was good. The food was good. Too expensive, but otherwise a great place to eat after a hard day of fishing.

My family has owned a home in Ennis, MT over forty years. The Grizzly Bar has always been one of our favorite restaurants where we have dined multiple times during the summer months. A friend and I drove the thirty-five mile trip on June 1st to enjoy a meal that I had mistakenly made a reservation at another restaurant with the same name. After waiting an unreasonable time at the front entrance, the owner rudely told us that we did not have a reservation. When I tried to explain what was obviously my mistake, she had no interest in accommodating us at the bar and abruptly turned her back to continue waiting on customers. I have never been treated in such a discourteous and impolite manner by a restaurant owner. I understand that the owners were disappointed over the failure to sale their restaurant last fall. Until there is new ownership and management, I have no intention of returning.

Tucked away on the border of Idaho and Montana sits this absolute gem of a restaurant. The service is impeccable, and the food is delicious. The owner, Nik, is also the head chef and you can taste every ounce of passion and care in every bite. A must-try for every traveler.

Best food in Montana that I’ve had. A great little family restaurant with outstanding food and a great view. We’ve been looking for new places to eat and this one will become a favorite. Reservations are required.
We will definitely make this a recurring place to visit.
