Worth the ride off the strip for sure!
During my recent visit, I noticed the condiment bottles had visible buildup around the nozzles and staining on the lids, which made them appear as though they may not be getting fully sanitized on a regular basis. I also observed that while tables were being wiped down between guests, only the top surface was cleaned — not the sides and edges where spills can drip and dry, leaving sticky residue.
I know this is a busy and popular restaurant, and small details can easily be overlooked during rush periods. However, those small details really impact overall presentation and customer perception.
I’m offering this as constructive feedback because I truly enjoy coming here and want to see the cleanliness standards reflect the quality of the food and service. With just a little more attention to those areas, this place would feel even more polished.
Looking forward to continuing to support this establishment.
It’s a small spot, but the turnover is quick and they have takeout. Our server was knowledgeable and attentive. So good I went back the next day for lunch.
I actually saw this restaurant on Somebody Feed Phil.
Shrimp Omelet with Potato and Toast was good
Fried Porkchop with Grits, Collard Greens and Cornbread were so good! Just a bit too salty on the Collard but mixed it with grits and it was ok.
Definitely a restaurant we would go back to the next time we’re in Vegas.
The sweet potato waffles are pleasantly refreshing. I had grits without cheese (not necessary in my opinion, but cheese lovers have at it) and are very creamy and flavored just right. The catfish was seasoned well also, not overly salty like some places, you can actually taste the fish!
The space was tight. If you’re okay with being close up on other people, you’ll be fine. They have takeout, I’d opt to do that instead of dine-in next time. They have an outdoor eating area, which is more suitable but chances of getting that is slim unless you come early.
Overall, is very good and would recommend.
The staff was friendly, welcoming, and very accommodating to my daughter’s shellfish allergy, which gave us peace of mind and made the experience even better. We truly felt at home, and we all left happy and satisfied.
I’ll definitely be coming back on my next trip to Vegas—this place is a must-try!
