My African American girlfriend and I were traveling through Fremont. We were looking to a place to eat on Sunday afternoon. We found the Gringos Cantina. The Sunday special ($3.00) off the Chimichangas was available. The Salsa for the free chips at table service tasted garden fresh and had a sweet flavor. We liked the atmosphere it was dark and cozy and did not have the crazy bright colors or loud typical music blaring with the trumpets and “Aye Aye Aye” in the establishment. It was chill. The sea food Chimichanga was something like I’ve never experienced. It had a special white sauce that was so succulent. We shared an apple pie fried Ice cream that was as sweet as anything we’ve had the pleasure of tasting. The waitress was so attentive and nice. Gringos is a gem and we have planned to visit again. The salsa was so good. Thank You.

5 stars for decor & background music.
(Actual corn chips, unlike most local joints)
Complementary chips & salsa, killer good green chili, nicely seasoned taco meat. Sancho platter: great mix of flavors.
Service was delightful: so impressed, she knew what, & how & provided exemplary service.
Margarita not over Sweet (like most others in town).

A MUST GO TO RESTAURANT IF YOUR IN THE MOOD FOR HISPANIC/SPANISH MEAL!

WE ATE HERE 8/26/22 AROUND 12:45p

WILL BE GOING BACK NEXT TIME IN THE MOOD FOR SPANISH / HISPANIC CUISINE

Food was served quickly and was fresh, hot and tasty! Portions were bigger than expected and the service was VERY GOOD! We were promptly seated and the staff was friendly AND attentive!! The restaurant was very clean and tidy. I can not speak as to the cleanliness of the bathrooms as we didn’t use them but if it is as clean as the rest of the place then it’s very clean.

Wish we could have given 6⭐ stars that’s how yummy and hot and just so yummy the food and experience was.

Good Mexican/American food. Due to high demand I will now be adding bathroom reviews (mens only) on a five-star scale. This particular bathroom gets 3½ stars. Clean but outdated.

I was glad to see the dining room was very clean. The food was fine. The service was negligible, but that might have just been due to the inadequate skills of that server. There was really nothing special that would compel me to want to try Gringo’s again… but, at least, it was NOT bad.

Yummmn. Drove in from Omaha for lunch. I got the fried chicken burrito, my partner got the fried beef burrito. Help yourself all-you-can-eat chips and salsa bar with different salsas/hot sauces/ranch/jalepenos. Friendly service. Wish Omaha had a place like this.

Got the lunch special beef burrito. Was pretty filling. I ordered it take out, didn’t have to wait long, and i made it home to a still hot meal!!! Kinda higher priced though for a special. All in all good experience.

I was apprehensive to stop in to this restaurant as Mexican food is my absolute FAV…sadly disappointed…chicken seemed like it was cheap processed bagged meat that I actually thought was steak at first and it just went downhill from there 🙁 veggies were not cooked and the rice tasted … I can’t even explain … the Beans tastes like they were swimming in enchilada sauce 🙁 … I was asked how things were going but when I wasn’t overwhelming happy the waitress walked off and when I paid the bill the cashier blew me off as well …see picture…under cooked green peppers and onions … and didn’t take it to go as I knew I wouldn’t eat it 🙁

Overpriced for what the food is. Chips, tortillas and salsa are all from a food supplier vs. being made in house. The rice looked and tasted exactly like Uncle Ben microwave in the bag. Nice atmosphere but for the price, pretty disappointed in the quality of the staples. Three plates with waters and no appetizers cost more than $50.
